QuickBooks 2014 All-in-One For Dummies 1st Edition

I just got handed the job of treasurer for a club I belong to--I had to learn Quick Books quickly. This book helps a great deal--especially the glossary that allows me to look up exactly what I need. Quick Books is fairly intuitive once you get the hang of it--and this book is a great go-to for those situations you can't quite figure out yourself.

I recently purchased this book, because I was trying to rely less on the accountant when I had questions about navigating QuickBooks. First off, if you have no accounting experience, or have never used QuickBooks Pro then I would purchase a less comprehensive book. It does give you a couple of chapters in the beginning, that attempt to rapidly explain accounting principles. However, in my opinion someone that has no accounting background would be confused, and possibly intimidated by continued use of QuickBooks.That being said, this book does give a comprehensive overview of the program, and is easy to follow if you are familiar with QuickBooks. I use QuickBooks Pro daily, and found this book very easy to understand. It also explained functions within the program that I did not know existed prior to reading this book. I set out to find an alternate way to learn about QuickBooks outside a classroom environment, and I think this book accomplishes that. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a similar situation.

The title says it all, I am not an accountant and was thrust into the role at our Church (small Church all volunteers) I purchased QuickBooks 2014 and quickly realized that I needed "QuickBooks 2014 for Dummies" now we have a professional set of books.

Followed the directions offered by this manual to set up our company. When it came time for taxes we had our CPA review our work and he basically had us start from scratch and do things completely different. For a basic start up selling items on line, this is way to complicated and in depth.

There isn't a whole lot to say about the Dummies series, so I would just add that this is very effective for what it is. I needed a basic introduction to QuickBooks but also some general accounting practices and this served that purpose.If I had a quibble, it's calling it an "8 Books in 1" and then charging north of $18 for a kindle version. Really?

I recently purchased QuickBooks for my office. This program can do so much, I figures Id get the book just in case I forgot! lol

The QB 2014 for dummies has taught me a thing or two. It is nice to have a reference in a new environment.

As a bookkeeper this is my bible. This book goes into all of the ins and outs of QuickBooks. I refer to it all the time.
