dreamGEAR – PS4 LED Charge Cable for DualShock4 Controllers – LEDs Indicate When Charging and Charged

Great product, it does the job. Just be mindful, if you are playing your game while charging the controller with this cable, it can be damaged easily, where the micro-usb connector plugs into the controller. I was playing and moving around and the cable got caught on the corner of my chair, the micro-usb connector pulled out of the controller, luckily the two little lock tabs didn't get bent. It fully charges from one bar to fully charged in a short period, just under an hour.

It's a good cable but NOT perfect! PROS: 1. Long cable 2. LED indicator 3. Durable wire material CONS: 1. A bit pricey 2. Micro-USB gets loose most of the time thus giving a full charge signal when it's not, so what I do is bend the charging port a bit or removing it then re-attach it to the controller. --------------------------- UPDATE: Downgrading the rating from 4 stars to 1, both of the cables I ordered stopped working.

we bought 2, the light does not work properly... it always blinks. it does not plug in to the controller easily... but it is 10' long and it does charge. we just have to check it to see when its done charging.

I bought this for my PS4 controllers, but I found the LED lights to be redundant since the PS4 controllers pulse yellow when charging. Now I use the POWER A Charging Station for PlayStation 4 instead. I am glad to see that this cable has dropped in price from when I preordered it. Using this cable with the PS4, I was not impressed and regretted buying it. I have found this DreamGear cable to be great for my Xbox One controller. I bought the Xbox One Play and Charge Kit , but I use the DreamGear cable instead of the one that came with the kit. I haven't even taken the Microsoft cable out of the bag yet. Since Microsoft stupidly left out the battery status icon on the Xbox One, there is no way to know if the battery in your controller is almost dead. This DreamGear cable helps because it lets you know when the controller is fully charged (blue when charged, pulses red when charging). I believe the Microsoft cable has a white charge status light. The only thing I don't like about the DreamGear cable is that the blue light does not go off when there is not a controller attached, so I have to unplug it from the system. I find it funny that I actually use my PS4 to charge my XO controller, since the USB ports on the front of the PS4 are a lot easier to access than the XO USB ports. I only have about an inch of space around the sides and two inches above, so it's hard to plug any USB into the XO. The cable is definitely long enough to play and charge, and I shifted my XO to do it a couple times. I don't think you can play and charge at the same time with the XO controller plugged into the PS4, but I just let the controller charge inbetween gaming sessions. If Microsoft comes out with a quick charge kit, I might get that and an extra battery and use the same setup I did on 360 (keeping a battery charged and swapping it out when needed).

I just want to clear up the other comments about it fitting loose. The cable does wiggle around a little bit once connected to the controller however this does not affect the charge and it does not fall out of the controller. It wiggles a little bit from side to side but the connection is secure. You actually have to pull kinda hard to get it out. The reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because it does not flash red while charging like it says it should it is always blue but other then that it is great and looks pretty cool as well UPDATE: I changed to five stars I must of done something wrong at first because the light now blinks red when charging and blue when it's done

the number one complaint people have is that it does not plug all the way into the controller. This is true but I have been using it for a month and had no issues, it charges the controller just fine and looks amazing while doing it. The extra long cord comes in handy I can plug into the ps4 from the tv stand and play my game on the bed. Edit: 4/10/14 I purchased this on March 12, 2014 and last week it stopped working. it would no longer charge the PS4 remote at all period. after about a months worth of use it stopped working. The design itself is great, I love the look and the extra long cord is very nice. BUT the construction is about as crappy as it gets since this was in a Adult household and was casually used. I can imagine it might last weeks at best with a teenager.

This cable is exactly what I needed. The other cables available weren't long enough to reach the couch for when I needed to charge the dualshock 4 while I was playing. The cable is ten feet long and easily reaches from my entertainment center to my sofa. The cable itself is a nice flexible cable, but if I had any complaints about it, it would be that it is maybe a little thin. It has a light on the end that plugs into the controller that is a nice touch. It is a nice bright LED light that is red while charging, and turns blue when the battery is fully charged. I would recommend this cable.

Does it work for Ps4 Controller? Yes. Is the cord long? Yes Is the cord actually Circular? No, It is flat like the old style telephone wire for those that care. Does it fit in the Ps4 Controller just as Snug as the default usb charger? NO! but it is charging. How can I/you tell? well if you press and hold the PS button on the controller and go to adjust devices and turn off the controller, then turn it back on you can see on the top right after you turn it on and select your user its charging. NOTE: if the controller is fully charged already when you buy this the led will stay blue. When your controller is not fully charged by even 1 bar the led turns Red and begins to charge. (you can tell by doing what I said above if you want to check by not looking at the led) Why 1 Star and not 5? Because the down side is the fitting is not as Snug when you plug it in. Does it ever unplug while playing? After 1 to 2weeks of use yes. Its just not tight. Which then becomes a bother. Is it that bad of a not so tight fit to make me want to buy it again? Yes becomes extreamly worse after use. Se fil est bien meilleur et bien plus solide que celui de Sony. Les led sont vraiment utile pas besoin de retouner au menu pour voir si la manette est chargé ou mal branche et ne tombe pas

Es un buen cable de gran longitud, los materiales son de buena calidad y hasta ahora no me ha causado ningún problema. Tiene un LED que enciende en azul cuando no está en funcionamiento o cuando ha terminado la carga y enciende en rojo cuando está cargando. Sirve como cable de datos.

Tiene una longitud perfecta para estar a una distancia considerable y la luz LED te avisa cuando ya está cargado.
