I bought this penguin-shaped pillow for my niece, and I have never seen a more professional head protector in my life. This little penguin is like a bouncer for her noggin—if she falls, it’s like she’s getting a VIP, soft landing. Honestly, if you told me this penguin used to work in the Secret Service, I’d believe it. Before we had this little guy, my niece’s head was at risk of becoming a magnet for every corner of the coffee table. But now? She falls, and it’s like she’s hugging a fluffy iceberg. Absolute must when your baby starts moving around! Has saved us from multiple head injuries and the best part is that it looks extremely adorable. My baby does not even notice I put in on. Very comfy and lightweight.

Yes it does protect the back of your infants head. It would be fantastic if the product actually protected the forehead also.
