A fantastically efficient idea
I am wondering for how long traditional toothpaste can remain an choice - Unilever have probably already identified this. These tablets are so practical from every perspective; application, efficient water usage, bio degradable ingredients and recyclable paper packaging. In use, the tablets leave my mouth fresh and feeling clean. There is a very feint salty aftertaste but it is not at all unpleasant, strong or offputting, just...there! Honestly, considering I am now paying for an efficient product with no added water at a price I believe to be very reasonable, I am very happy and delighted to have discovered such products even exist. In considering how to actively reduce my plastic waste, I have looked at my bathroom products. I already shave with a double edge razor and shaving soap - no plastic involved at all. Now I have found how to replace the plastics from my oral hygeine regime too. These tablets complement the tablet mouthwash and bamboo toothbrushes that I now use exclusively.

Brilliant alternative to plastic-packed toothpaste!
I'm enjoying using these Toothtabz - they have a nice fresh minty taste and leave my teeth feeling properly clean. I wasn't sure at first because they don't froth up in the same way as toothpaste - but this in no way seems to effect the cleaning process. Since learning that it's a whole load of nasty chemicals making that foam effect, I'm glad they don't! So don't expect them to be just like toothpaste - they actually make me think more about the process of cleaning my teeth properly. Another small change in reducing my environmental impact.

Decent
I’m attempting to save the planet - all by myself! I originally thought these were a toothpaste substitute to chew on the go, but you have to chew and whack a wet brush around your nashers as well, having said that froths up well and tastes like toothpaste!

Product fine, post packaging plastic
Good product key down by the fact that it came in a polythene postal pouch. Rather cancels the point really.

Second order ?change in ingredients
Yesterday I finished the first 2 packs of Toothpaste tabz that I odered in February 2020 (I keep one in upstairs bathroom and one downstairs cloakroom for ease and speed in a morning!). Was so pleased with the product that I ordered 2 more in May 2020 that I have only just opened. They are a very different smell - more pungent than the first; a different colour (first were white, these are beige with speckles) and a much sharper minty taste but with an unpleasant slightly "gone off" aftertaste. A shame the recipe appears to have changed for the worst so won't be ordering anymore.

Up to now GREAT!!
Trying hard to cut down on plastic, so tried these for the first time today. A bit different to putting a paste or gel on your brush but once you get over that they are great. Lovely minty taste, clean teeth well, so far so good. Some reviews have mentioned that Amazon dispatch these in a plastic bag but the bags are fully recyclable according to the writing on them so I can't complain about that and up to now it is a big thumbs up from me. Will see how I go. Also converting to non plastic toothbrushes..... every change may only be a small step but it is a step forward.

Does the job
I think anything that isn't a paste is going to be chalky so don't expect to love your first few tries with it. It is a very mild mint taste and doesn't froth up very much but it does the job. I'm not blown away with it but it's far better than throwing more plastic in the sea!

Best I’ve tried
This is the best toothpaste tablet I’ve tried. The flavour is not something you’d describe as nice, but neither is it horrible. Toothpaste was the eco switch I was worried most about, but after 3 months I’m pretty sure this is as good as toothpaste for cleaning & fluoride protection. I break it down with my teeth for a few bites, then use a wet toothbrush to get it foaming across my teeth. ‘Foaming’ is sufficient but very different to normal toothpaste, took a few goes for me to get used to it and realise that it’s still doing the job. I’m sticking with this switch.
