So this is indeed a comfortable and cool feeling sleep mask, so I bought it based on the excellent reviews which said this. HOWEVER. Unfortunately for me, I ignored the reviews that mentioned that this mask apparently has a black "dye" problem. Some ladies wrote that they would put on their nighttime skincare/creme/lotion and slip this sleep mask on and go to bed, only to wake up with " black" marks around their eyes and on their face, due to whatever type of dye this company used on the fabric. This mask BLEEDS DYE, and it bleeds BAD. Apparently, the dye in the mask mixed with the creams/body heat of the wearer, and "bled" onto the skin, So, to avoid this problem, I didn't put heavy or greasy anything around my eyes when I wore this, but it happened to me as well!!Then, To add insult to serious injury, , I hand washed this darn thing in my kitchen sink multiple times in deliberate hot water and dish soap to get the excess dye out. (I had a sinkful of black stained water each time, so I kept at it until the water ran clear. I did not dry it in the dryer, but let it air dry completely, then wore it again. ) I thought the problem would be solved. NO. Still bled. ALL OVER my beautiful Jennifer Adams bedding. Ruined a pillowcase and a corner of my top sheet. (See attached photo of my ruined pillow case, and this is after three washings with three different types of stain remover, all washed THREE SEPARATE TIMES before I finally gave up and put the ruined bedding in the dryer. I had been terrified of the heat from the dryer "setting" the stain, but apparently, all three washes in a row were a lost cause. Once that dye was on, it wasn't coming out.)I don't know exactly what type of dye this company is using, but it's cheap, cheap junk. I was so upset I threw this thing out and didn't bother to get a refund. I have half a mind to demand from the company the money for my sheets, but that'll never happen. I've worn sleep masks for over 15 years, and bought all types, high and low end, and I've never had an issue with a sleep mask bleeding dye all over my face or my pillowcases and sheets. Unheard of. If you have nice sheets that you paid a pretty penny for, AVOID THIS PRODUCT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED, FRIENDS. This crud will ruin bedding,If I can prevent this from happening to one other person, my work here is done. So irritating!!

My husband works day & night shift. Primarily, he works at night. However, in his profession a 16hr shift is pretty standard. It's really hard for him to get enough sleep b/c he's naturally a morning person and he starts thinking about sleep around 7:30 - 8:00pm. I have had owned sev dif sleep masks made by dif companies over the years. The newest mask that I bought for myself, he has been borrowing for awhile now. I decided to get him his own as a gift for Christmas. The mask is VERY HIGH QUALITY. It comes with a hard case for storage. It zips up and is used to store the mask, and accessories. Also, included in the zip up case are, a pair of high quality ear buds to block out noise. The material the mask is made from is very comfortable. The mask size can easily be changed to fit almost any size head. I've noticed that he's been sleeping much better since I bought these mask/earbuds for him. I'm grateful that he is sleeping better because he works A LOT!!! Sometimes, he isn't getting nearly enough sleep to stay healthy (before heading back in to work his next 10-18hr shift. It's important to take good care of your body and mind, and unfortunately in the US it seems sleep deprivation, exhaustion, poor nutrition, etc., are sources of pride, worn like badges of honor, until we are diagnosed with a condition(s) we know nothing about treating/curing. It's time for us to value ourselves more than money or 'success' and to use non medicinal alternatives to heal the illness caused by stress, lack of healthy lifestyles, unhappiness, etc. Sleep isn't something that we can just make up for later.

Wow. I wish I would have found this sleep mask sooner in my life! I've am very sensitive to noise and light - I thought I had tried everything on the market, until I came across this little gem. I do not care for the earplugs, but the eye mask is phenomenal. It blocks out all light (no bits of light coming through the nose area) and fits snugly on my head (adjustable strap). I also love how the eye areas are raised, so the mask doesn't smoosh your eyelids onto your eyeballs.

I ordered this mainly for the magnets as a feature. The masks works well. The strap has stretched and does not hold it in place as well any more. Foam ear plugs just don't work for me, so I haven't continued to use them. At the beginning, the shades were leaving black marks on my face in the morning. I solved this by soaking them in vinegar (which helps to set colors) for about 24 hours and then letting them air dry on a rack. I keep them in my night table. They are adequate -- and that's fine for now.

This mask left dark smudges on my skin, visible on waking ! I even put a cloth under it to protect my skin, and it left smudges on the cloth. Gross. WHAT can the back smudge be? (some kind of chemical i really dont need on / in my body). I just wanted an eye mask that works simply and effectively. I thought this would be it -- its shape & fit seemed fine. But it is surprising and disappointing to wake up 3 or 4 times to dark smudges on my skin/ cloth, and then be concerned there's some toxic residue now on or in me from what should just be a simple sleep mask. So, i don't like to complain, but black smuges on the skin of an unknown chemical are simply unacceptable. I hope i can return this or find out what the black smudge is. But i cannot use it as it is.

This mask bleeds black dye onto your face-every night. Other than this deficiency, it does an excellent job of blocking light and is very comfortable. I returned the product for a refund due to the dye bleeding issue. I wish this problem did not exist as I am still searching for the right mask, and this would have been it....

This mask does not block out light completely, which is disappointing on its own. But worse, the dye isn't set so it stained my white sheets and my face. I am returning.
