It also has an outside pocket to pack an after school snack. And, there is an outside pouch to keep a beverage cup. The carrying strap comes in handy when on field trips and not placing the bag inside of a larger backpack. We have used this for my 1st grader for two years and can't be without it!

This is a perfect lunch bag! It has an insulated interior to keep food cold, with an inside pocket to separate the main lunch from dessert or snacks. It's a little more $ than I would usually spend on a lunch bag, but when i received it I realized it was worth the price. While a bit heavy, the material is good quality and sturdy. The inside insulation is shiny and also good quality. I packed it with frozen juice boxes and snacks for my family's first trip to the zoo and it was a hit!
