Clash of Visions: Populism and Elitism in New Testament Theology (Reformed Exegetical Doctrinal Studies series)

TWO TYPES OF BIBLICAL SCHOLARS
I wanted to read Clash of Visions as soon as it crossed my radar. It is one of those terrific examples of public lectures being put into a book. As I said in the past, when scholars deliver an annual lecture they tend to craft their words carefully for the listening ear.Yarbrough is a terrific New Testament scholar. He makes a compelling case that too many biblical scholars have moved away from the Bible being a supernatural text that God still speaks through. Scholars who do believe God still speaks through the Bible are no less competent than their counterparts. They just happen to believe that the Bible is God’s Word.I am glad to see the book's price reduced. It is worthy of your serious consideration.

As someone who has taught in a Christian college for over 20 years, I loved this book. Highly recommended.
