Pretty accurate for the price
I have used this brand for several years. It is pretty accurate compared to some I have tried.

Huh?
I wanted something simple... This was so complicated to get up and running, I put it down and haven't even used it yet.

Solid Cheap Pedometer!
I got my PE-771 for $12 shipped. For the price it is a very nice little pedometer and has a feature set I like:--- a good choice of colors--- some level of moisture/sweat protection--- a sturdy detachable belt clip--- lanyard ring as well for neck strap and wrist strap wearing(wrist strap included)--- adjustable goal setting with progress bar and beep alert--- Total(odometer) that keeps a running total that doesn't reset each dayI have found this pedometer is fairly accurate. Not the 97/98% they claim on a vibration machine since we are humans moving in the real world but 5% error can be achieved if positioned right and set to the right stride and weight. 5% is just fine for a cheap personal use device such as this. It gives all you need, a close approximate. Don't take it so seriously cause it makes no real difference and it is cheap device. The shape is quite ergonomic and has both belt clip and an attach loop to attach it various ways. The buttons are a little small but that does make them harder to press on accident. The reset button need to be held so just pressing it won't reset your readings. I have not had any accidental resets or button presses of any kind. The top step readout is the larger digit vs. the clock and makes sense being the info you are more interested in and should be easier to pick out. The clock is accurate and has AM/PM indicators if you choose the12hr format. No backlight on this model which is fine for me as I don't use it at night andthat always hurts battery life.I gave it four stars due to button layout and the goal setting being buried deep in the settings. I think the memory button(the round separate one) should be the mode button since you use mode more and it is easier to find and press the separate one instead of the one in the middle. The goal setting could be better since you only get 1000 steps increments after 100 to 1000(by hundreds). Nice to set it for 2,500 but you only get 2,000 then 3,000 and no in between. Goal needs to be set along with the other settings and you have to wade through time and stride weight to get to it. Also, it would be nice if it had a switch to turn the sensor off(a pause hold/maybe) to keep the clock and memory but not read steps. I also would have liked the bottom section of the screen to change info and maybe shows steps and activity time etc. on the same screen instead of pressing mode but a niggle on a cheaper device. Not very hard(and easier) to note the time on the clock and compute how much has elapsed on your own.Overall it has a sturdy build with good fit and finish, has multiple wearing styles, and all the info I want displayed clearly and accurately and has visible and audible goal accomplished indicators. One of the better simple and inexpensive pedometers I've had.

You won't get what you don't pay for!
Do not last. Accuracy about what I expected (not the best)

Touchy, resets itself, not sure of accuracy
This is my 2nd Pedusa 771. It's the 1st I bought through Amazon. It's definitely not as stable as the 1 I got through my health insurance company. I've had to reset it at least 7 times. The latest reset was 15 minutes ago because it apparently reset itself unbeknownst to me. It lost all saved data before I reset it, the battery doesn't sit flat, it has on 2 different occasions just started beeping continuously before reaching my set goal of 10k steps. I love my 1st Pedusa. I thought I lost it so ordered this in Orange figuring it would be easily found (found my other Pedusa the day I order this from Amazon). This one certainly isn't living up to the other 1 I have. I am actually using both now to see if the orange 1 keeps track of steps correctly. I have a feeling the orange Pedusa will be retired.Maybe I just got a defective 1 or something. Glad it wasn't that expensive.

Handy
I like this pedometer. Easily fits into a pocket and reliably counts steps, miles travelled, calories burned, and time spent walking. Sends out a beep when you have accomplished your step goal for the day (motivating). Pretty easy to program, if you read the instructions and pay attention to which button works to change a setting. I use it daily and am on my second one (the first one ended up in the washing machine and, needless to say, stopped working).
