Paradise Diced Peel, Orange, 8 Ounce

Soft and delicious. Perfect. I recently had one of the best sweet treats ever. It was a deglet noir date which was cut open and stuffed with candied orange peel. The price is $$$ for just a few of these beauties. I bought this candied orange peel to stuff my own. They are perfect and far more economical.

I needed this ingredient to balance the cran-cherries in my oat-meal-pecan cookies and thus far, no complaints. Perfect ingredient for orange-oriented pastries. I am on a quest to make the most orange-y pie and cookies I can.

Finding some things in my city difficult. Holidays and more sometimes required candied fruit. Used what I needed and the rest is in the fridge. Easy. Good quality, great in baked goods and priced reasonably.

I think it would be better if it was dried out a little bit. As it is, it is quite moist. I guess it depends on the receipe as to what moisture level you want. But, in the end, a perfectly good product that is near-impossible to find in stores outside of the holidays.

This product arrived unsealed, dried out, and moldy. I was so repulsed, I tossed it into the garbage which was much more gratifying than asking for a refund.
