Paradise Diced Peel, Orange, 8 Ounce

Wow, lots of orange flavor in a bread, Stollen I baked. I was looking for candied orange for several bread that I was going to bake such as a Stollen. And I decided to try this one just because it's from Florida as we traveled there and found BEST orange juice. I never liked orange, but their orange changed my mine. Result of Stollen was WOW ... lots of flavor of orange that I can taste. When I received it, I smelled it and ate one, but I felt not much flavor. However, flavor of orange in a Stollen is GREAT. I can taste strong orange flavor. Wow, the word I can think of.

I think it would be better if it was dried out a little bit. As it is, it is quite moist. I guess it depends on the receipe as to what moisture level you want. But, in the end, a perfectly good product that is near-impossible to find in stores outside of the holidays.

This candied orange peel was exactly what I needed to give my orange chocolate chip cookies an extra zing of orange. Love it!

I need this to make Lebkuchen. And nobody around here seems to sell it. Unfortunately, it is overpriced, but you do what you gotta do. Tastes like it should. Good product!

These little cubes of lemon "fruit'were essentially tastesless and had a sour smell. I bought them to try to add a lemon boost to a cookie that I bake for one of my grandsons who requested "more lemon, please." So I thought this might be one way to modify the standard recipe. Thank goodness I didn't add these to the recipe. After opening the container and tasting one of the little cubes which had a waxy consistency and was almost tasteless except for this kind of old Halloween candy taste that is out of date and has the funky smell and taste, if you are a parent, you know the one I'm talkig about, the one you discover in your kids room 9 months later, and you can't pass up the chance for a treat.
