Mountainsmith Carbonlite Trekking Poles (Pair)

The shock absorbers work very well. Also, when I broke a pole, they replaced it immediately.

Used these on a montana hunting trip, didn't use them all the time but when we were packing meat out. Had a issue with them holding up and keeping tight but after a little tinkering I got them figured out. We will see how they work out in the future.

The poles are fine, though one of them won't "catch" properly to tighten some of the time.Took these to the snow, and in the first couple hours both snow baskets tore apart. First one tore in half, then the other tore around the center. Made hiking in deep snow a real problem.If you're a day hiker, they're probably fine. If you plan to rely on them in backcountry conditions then bite the bullet and buy a better quality set.

So I just got these yesterday and they look to be high quality sturdy hiking poles. The grip fits into my hand nicely (men with larger hands may find it a little small, I am a female with average hands). Have not had a chance to field test them but after I do in a couple of weeks I can comment back on their actual performance.

Lightweight but sturdy. Well designed. Cork handles make for nice grip. Carbon gives good support and flexibility so less likely to break. Poles Hold steady but adjust & collapse easily. Portable.

These seem good for the money. The handles could have a little more cork right at the web between the thumb and index finger but overall they're not bad.

Love the quality

I was looking for the following features: Cork Handles, Anti-Shock, Lightweight, Twist-lock, & long enough to use with my Tarptent to make it freestanding when needed. I did a lot of research and these were the best. I have used them about 6 months, no problems. Great Price.
