Dog Whistle Kit - To Stop Barking and Training - Includes: Whistle , Lanyard, Collar Led Light Clip On

It's a pretty amazing whistle. My dog responds to it and it helps to grab her attention when she is distracted by a passing dog. She's a quick little bugger and since she's "off-leash" in our yard because of the invisible fencing she's hard to get a hold of if she gets herself worked up. This whistle can help her get re-focused. We're not finished with her training yet but this does help for sure.The positives are that the whistle is adjustable, sturdy and the lanyard is a nice touch. The cons would be that the lanyard may make your neck itch a tad due to the stitching and you won't be sure exactly the level to adjust the whistle-pitch. The lanyard itch thing is not a big deal at all. And as for the pitch level you can sort of take a good guess. I think there are more accurate ways to figure this out but I'm too lazy to look them up.

As others have mentioned, this is not a "silent" dog whistle. It is easily audible to humans. I suppose this was good for my first dog whistle, as it took me a bit to figure the best way to generate concise whistle patterns. That would have been much more difficult with a whistle that I could not hear.I will likely get another whistle that is actually not human-audible now that I know how to use this one.The dog took some training to recognize what this means, but she can now easily hear and respond to my call from further than my feeble whistling abilities reach.The bonus LED for the collar is nice. It is water resistant, which was nice on a recent camping / rafting trip. I wouldn't necessarily have bought it separately, but it is a nice extra.

I'd have liked it better if it wasn't quite so teensy, but it seems like a decent whistle otherwise. The size of the whistle shown against the width of the lanyard is misleading. We were able to adjust it for the audible tone that we want, but I was not terribly happy to hear that if we blow it hard, it will make an unacceptably shrill shriek that hurts the dog's ears. I need to be able to blow it to reach across 3 acres, and behind buildings, and that may pose a problem

...for my keychain. Really works well, with our toy fox terriers. Good that the seller sent me instructions via email, otherwise I might not have caught onto the trick -- that you blow normally for an audible sound and really hard for a dog sound (plus a quiet human sound). Makes literally all the difference. I find it works better than the First Alert electronic one I have. You can adjust the frequency with a screw on the barrel, as necessary.

Dog whistle was a good deal on amazon. Whistle is well made and a good size. LED Tag looks neat but not sure I'll use it as its a bit clunky. Wish lanyard was more discrete but it works as intended. Whistle is louder than i thought but dogs seem to hear it fine as well. Neither of my boxers seem to care too much when i use it however.

This whistle works very well, neighbors dogs barks a lot, an I have blown the whistle, the dog hears it an stops then dog will continue an I continue as well blowing it, the dog, then stops after a few times of hearing it.. Small an fits well around the neck or in my pocket, as I walk our dog.. Thank you very much.

Love this product. I have 3 dogs that bark at everything! The first time I used this they stopped barking immediately. I use positive training (treats) as my dogs are very food motivated. Together with the whistle this has been the easiest way to control the "unnecessary" barking. They are learning quickly when barking is needed (doorbell or someone in the yard) as opposed to barking just to bark.

thought it woud be silent, just for dogs, "a dog whistle"! nope! wanted to stop the dogs barking constantly next door, did a little only, but hurt my ears and scared our cats! came with NO instructions!
