Great set- and it was on sale!
This was the HIGHLIGHT of my son's Christmas- and mine too! He got the lego set he was dream after and I got the best price out there. we got about 40-50% off on Amazon and I hesitated and the price jumped up. I wanted to cry alligator tears and scream "why, oh why did I wait?!" but then I looked at my cart 5 minutes later and the price was back down again so all was well in the universe for me again. I made the purchase and was equally as happy when he opened it. I didn't get to help put this set together though- my husband is stealing the lego building job from me. However if did look fun, but a little tricky. He wasn't the easiest set to keep together. But what do you expect when you buy a set like this for a six year old? The kids broke it and he wants us to just keep rebuilding it for him...so basically its the same as all his other sets. Its a great set though and came with some guys he didn't already have. He loves the little blue guy- the name escapes me now- and he was excited over the poster as well. All around great set with such a low price :-D that you can't get even now after its been out so long...I hope the price drops for some of the jabba;s sail barge hopefuls out there!

This kit looks great with other Tatooine sets
This kit looks great with other Tatooine sets. I bought it for my husband who is an avid lego builder and fan. The kit is very sturdy and well engineered with great interactive pieces like a cannon in the bow. The mini figures are adorable. I especially like R2 and Slave Leia. When we bought this kit, the price was about $30 than the Lego Store which is exceedingly rare. We would have bought it at full price though but we recommend always shopping around. It arrived quicker than it took my husband to build it.

Favorite Lego Set
Lego Jabba's sail barge is one of my favorite Lego sets. It has great, detailed minifigures and is a great size for $120. The set also has great features such as a removeable roof and walls you can pull down for easy inside access, and also includes two flick missles and a hidden pirate cannon. The amount of minifigures is a bit small for $120, but Lego expected people to get the other Jabba 2012-2013 sets too, so as long as you have the 2012 skiff, you'll have the perfect amount of minifigures with a sarlacc pit too. Great features, Great value, Great set!!!!

Great details and loads of fun!
Fabulous set that goes well with the Desert Skiff (9496). My boys (ages 11 & 8) had a blast building this and we've all played with it quite a bit since completing it. It rolls nicely and is sturdy. The minifigures are wonderful and it's fun to recreate parts of Return of the Jedi together. I highly recommend this LEGO set, especially if you can get it on sale.

Legos are always great and always expensive!
Good set that meets what you expect of Lego. This is an easy set to complete and is appropriate for kids as young as 6 or 7. My 11 year old had it together quickly and enjoys playing with it. However, Legos are always too expensive for what you get! I would buy so much more of them if they were priced more appropriately for the value.

Challenging to assemble but it looks great completed.
Bought this as a frivolous gift for one of my adult sons. He was home on break and was bored. I kidded him that school breaks were easier when he was a child inasmuch as I would buy him a Lego and he would be happy. He said he wanted a Lego even today and so my 25 year old selected two 1000 piece Lego sets to assemble. He really enjoyed constructing this (beats studying for the bar exam) and it looked very good when completed. This set was challenging yet not frustrating as some sets have been. Jabba is still as ugly as a Lego as he was in the movie!

AWESOME LEGO!
I love Star Wars, and I love Legos, so Star Wars Legos are a great combination. The greatest issue today is the overwhelming cost of Lego models (I have estimated that it is approximately $0.10 per piece that they are charging). I saw this set in a retail store advertised for $120; used the Amazon app to look the price up while in the store and found it was somewhere between $80-90 at the time...put the one in my hand down, ordered the Amazon one, and bought another one with the $30 saved!

Needless to say my kid nor I were happy about this
This was the right box but all the Legos inside were for something else entirely. Needless to say my kid nor I were happy about this.
