We couldn't be happier with this book. My son is a Lego fanatic and we have loads of pieces from old sets, but sometimes it's hard for him to come up with this own designs. This book is great because it gives you instructions on how to build new things, but even if you don't have all the specific pieces, the ideas are a great jumping off point to create something of your own.

I gave these books to a couple boys, aged 6&7 and they love them?

My kids love working through these books! I really love that you can build all kinds of things with all kinds of parts. That's really the beauty of LEGO - the open-ended play aspect when kids are making all kinds of creations with assorted pieces, rather than getting a "set" that just makes the one thing. This book gets tons of use at our house!

Great book with tons of ideas, but not great for folks passing down older LEGO sets. My hubby saved his LEGO bricks from childhood and we don’t have hardly any of the special pieces this book calls for. Of course, our 5 yo is not all that willing to improvise yet, but even if he was, this wouldn’t have been an ideal book for us. Not a problem if you have newer bricks or are cool with buying more! Just not great for my purist hubby and child.

I really love the fun ideas in this book, BUT the only thing that bugs me here is that some model miss some instruction, so it makes the build unclear.
