It unexpectedly is helping me with my spinal pain
After finding out the hard way that most green teas are not the same in quality, I found a green tea on consumerlabs that was very highly rated. By taking multiple cups a day of that daily I had the obvious problem, the inconvenience of urinating more than before, so I thought I'd try green tea in the capsule form. After again consulting consumerlabs I saw this tested very high, so I got it. It has a substantial amount of EGCG in it as you know, and that is something that is thought to help with nerve pain and/or nerve damage (is that true I don't know,) but after now taking it for over three weeks I always have had less spinal pain for 6-8 hours after taking it. Actually I felt the difference after the first capsule I took! Maybe it's something else in it that's helping me. Over use of EGCG can cause liver damage, I am a lightweight all my life when it came to drinking so I am not expecting that to be a problem. I don't take it every day and drink little if any green tea on the days (3-5 days a week) that I take it. I drink green tea on the days I don't take it but just drinking lots of quality green tea doesn't help me with the pain like this does. I hope it really does heal nerves and not just temporarily numb the pain (assuming that's what it's doing.) If it also helps you with pain please note that in a review so I don't wonder if it's just me, or in my head.

Took a little experimenting but all good
knowing that if i drink too much green tea then i get stomach upset, i started these by mixing half a pill in a cup of green tea. tasted disgusting [no surprise]. so i started swallowing one pill a day, first with a youghurt, which was fine, so then i started taking them first thing in the morning, empty stomach [you are supposed to take them on empty stomach as they are much more effective, i also read that in an NIH study where it was well proven]. anyhow, i was pleasantly surprised to not get any stomach upset at all. and since these are like drinking 5 cups of lipton green tea [which is one of the most potent EGCG teas out there], then yeah, customer for life. Itโs only been like eight weeks but after the first few weeks I my workout stamina and recovery has noticeably improved and I just feel better in general. Weirdly my sinus issues are also noticeably more clear. Interesting. Will update this review in the future.

This stuff works very well!
I wrote this review and then realized I forgot to directly mention two things. First, when you have to go you must go immediately or you seriously risk public and private ridicule. This stuff does it's job very well. Second, I was worried that this product might keep me awake but I've slept reasonably well since I began using it. Now on with my review... I've been over weight for at least the past year or so, I am 6' with a small frame and weighed 220 on 9/13/13. I looked to be about six months pregnant. lol!! Not good! Anyway, I have a trip home coming up in a few days and decided to lose as much weight as I possibly could during the six, or so, weeks prior to my trip. I cut my caloric intake down to no more than 1,200-1500 per day. I eat only low fat, high protein and fiber foods. I drink only water and other zero calorie beverages. I also, started taking vitamins and iron. I've gone to the gym just about every day for the past month and a half.(I hadn't set foot in a gym in many years. It wasn't fun at first.) With this regimen in mind,, I was already losing weight at a reasonable pace but felt like I could use something to give my metabolism a boost. I am not a fan of supplements and such but considering my time constraints I decided to research green tea extract. I did some research online and read reviews of various products. I decided to try Life Extension Mega Green Tea Extract and I'm glad I did. This product works very well. It works almost to well, in fact. During the first two or three days of use I "visited" the toilet at least 3 times per day. My bathroom time was quite productive to say the least, I was amazed at the volume of waste I had been carrying around. After the first few days my body leveled off. Still, since then, I "visit" the toilet at least twice a day. Before I included Mega Green Tea Extract in my daily routine I was losing weight at approximately 3-4 pounds a week. With Mega Green Tea Extract added into the mix I have been losing anywhere from half a pound to two pounds a day depending on what I eat, whether I decide to drink a few beers and whether I make it to the gym the next day. Busting your butt on the treadmill for an hour is definitely not a fun thing to do with a hangover, but I've done it. Luckily I didn't fall on my face. By the way, I walk on the treadmill for an hour per day at increasing speed up to 3.8 mph and constantly raise the incline until the my hour is up. I also ride the stationary bike for one hour. As of 9/13/13 I was 220. Today is 10/19/13 and I currently weigh 195. I have 8 workout days left before my trip and will lose at least another 5 pounds (probably more) before leaving thanks in part to Mega Green Tea Extract. Excellent product!!

Use for CLL
Began taking this about a month after I was diagnosed with CLL (chronic leukemia) At first I lost weight from using it, but it was not a lot - most significant benefit was how it may be helping to stabilize the disease. It has been nearly a year and numbers (for those of you with CLL) are actually lower than a year ago when I was diagnosed. They have either gone down or stayed the same at doctor visits the last 4 times I have been to the doc - Take it with food, otherwise you risk getting a little nauseous. I understand it may not work for everyone, and who is to say that it's actually the green tea extract for me- at any rate I would recommend if you have leukemia to give this a try. I take 3 a day, some days I take 4. Worth trying.

I recommend NOT taking this on an empty stomach
So, I drink green tea with honey that I brew myself, and itโs about all I drink after cutting out soda and sweet fruit drinks. I noticed that when I take this on an empty stomach I feel really nauseous ๐คข and have even thrown up. On a full stomach or at least with some food, I have no issues. I do feel a difference with his supplement. After just a few weeks I notice I have more energy, and am having more regular movements. The capsules are about the same as every other pill, or capsules I take. They are tasteless, and easy to swallow. If you have researched the benefits of green tea, then you already know itโs beneficial for a lot of things like immune, vascular, heart, and other things. Itโs priced fairly I think, and if you want to try to improve your health, itโs worth it.

Highly rated -- especially for CLL patients
My alternative medicine doc, who is also an MD, recommended this product due to my leukemia. There was a study by the Mayo Clinic of patients with CLL [my form of the disease] and there were some statistical data showing benefits for CLL patients who took a green tea extract -- strength not specified by the Mayo Clinic. I ordered this product as soon as I was diagnosed, and found immediate relief from swolen glands, and night sweats. I contacted the manufacturer, using the info on the label, and they have oncologists as consultants. The response to my question: "how much can I take?" came back as 3 times daily. Five months later, swelling is minimal, night sweats rare. Doctor says my WBC is stable.... Those results are hard to dispute, in my opinion. Given the info above -- this is a great product, full of good anti-oxidents, but with some minimally proven benefits for CLL patients, like me. Shipping was extremely prompt, so I couldn't have asked for more from them. Five stars!!!

Easy to take, but I didnโt notice much
This seemed fine overall, but I canโt say I noticed any tangible difference while taking it. It checks a lot of boxes on paper, and I liked that itโs decaffeinated, non-GMO, gluten-free, and easy to fit into a routine. At the same time, nothing really stood out for me in terms of noticeable benefits. It may be one of those supplements that works more in the background, but from my experience, it was just kind of meh.
