how much should I use the product every regular load in my laundry?

2 ounces per gallon is the recommend dilution for general disinfection. That will get expensive if you use in every load. Suggest you look for a dedicated laundry disinfectant

Can you use this in a bissel carpet cleaner?

The directions state this product is to be used on hard, nonporous surfaces. I would not use it in a carpet cleaner.

Does this need to be stored in an opaque spray bottle?

I have not had problems using transparent bottles, this doesn't seem to break down with sunlight. It will break down in hot water though, so mix with cold.
