Fixes windows shuffling on windows 10 when turning on and off connected TV
I have a 4k tv attached to one of my computers. Whenever I turn it on and off, my windows flicker for several seconds and audio / voice functions stop working. It's pretty annoying. When the pixel refresher on the TV runs the flickering happens as well.I tried several other products to solve this issue and they all failed.I purchased this used on ebay and it immediately works. I saved my source edid to slot 8 on the device and it is outputting 4k 60fps HDR output to my TV. When I turn the TV on and off windows does not know it is being turned off.Included pictures of box.

Total frustration... Works 10% of the time.. no instructions.. $130+ !
No idea what the magic trick .. on very few occasions it works.. no rhyme or reason.. because the next time it doesn't work on the same settings..$130 and no manual or instructions.. all i can do is read the hundreds of threads that only make it more frustrating... Total sucker i was to by this flimsy $2 worth of plastic and a few wires... No way i would recommend this!!

Great product for solving HDMI issues
This product is fantastic for troubleshooting and solving HDMI issues. Would be nice if the GUI was able to parse and produce an EDID in human readable form. Took a star off for that.

Offers Full Audio - Separates it from the Cheaper Devices
I have purchased 2 of these units. The one has worked well, but the 2nd one died within one month of use and HDFury won't honor warranty unless purchased directly from them.I was looking for an EDID device that would allow my PC to connect to a surround sound unit, but be able to send varying audio signals depending on what is being watched. Normally it should send stereo signal, but it should allow the PC to send a 5.1 signal if its configured that way. Even more importantly it shoudl be able to send signals from movies including AC3 5.1, DTS and similar signals. Most of the other devices on the market only send stereo PCM. This device has a Full Sound option which worked right out of the box. Now when I turn the surround sound unit off the PC still thinks the monitor is attached but it can send any audio signal it needs to to the surround unit.

Unfortunate
Unfortunately, I experienced absolutely no benefit from this product when trying to link an Optima projector through a 20 ft HDMI cable run to a DVD player. As they say in Maine; "Ya can't get there from here."

Works great with some caveats
Works when connected directly to the source device. I have a kvm and splitter which i’m not sure will interfere with the edid stream. So far I’m satisfied that if you place the hdfury directly attached to the source, it’ll work. It also works with custom edid bin files loaded onto it with the hdfury software. Just make sure you use the included cable which had power + data pins and the leds have to be white to use custom edids. I used free edid downloader and editor apps to add the missing audio streams and speakers support to my monitor’s edid(the monitor has no speakers). I also split the hdmi cable with a splitter to send video to the monitor and audio to my receiver. It doesn’t work when connected behind my kvm switch, but that’s not surprising as the kvm has been a bit of a nightmare and it works when connected directly to my pc hdmi. Added bonus is now the k doesn’t auto switch to the pc every time it wakes itself up every 20 mins which is nice. Downside is now I have to reach over to press the pc power button to wake it up as the kvm doesn’t seem to pass usb messages from the keyboard but again I blame the awful kvm I bought. Also idk if hdfury has their own edid edit software but it’s a whole other discussion how to capture and modify my monitor’s edid info to add in the audio info from my receiver’s edid to create one merged edid bin file with all the video and audio settings, which you then download to the hdfury with their software. Intel has a great how to somewhere on their forum to get you started with monitor asset manager and edid editor(you don’t need or want custom resolution utility as the hdfury will take that role). One other tip, if it doesn’t seem to work, disconnect and reconnect the source hdmi as the edid message only seems to happen once.

Awkward, but works when you get the set up right
I needed this so my apple tv could send an LLDV signal as opposed to the default DV signal, so my Philips Hue Sync Box could show Dolby Vision content with synchronized lighting. The setup of the device is tricky, and involves a bit of trial and error.
