ShaverAid Screen Foil fits Braun 2000 Series Micron Shavers

foil came packaged in a separate box inside a soft pack which ensured no shipping damage to this very fragile item. It fit perfectly and was exactly what I expected. I could see no difference between the new one and the old one that I replaced. Very good quality. Would definitely buy this item from this supplier again.

Fits perfect on the razor and work fine. It doesn't shave quite as close as the original on the first pass, but it's OK. Just takes a little longer to shave, but it saved the razor.

It arrived as advertised within the allocated time period. I choose to order this part because of the clear picture of it in the ad. I compared it to what I had and it looked perfect. When it arrived I assembled it into the razor to in sure it fit correctly. It was a complete match to the original.

This foil is no-where near the quality of the original Braun foil, but this is probably as good as it's going to get, since Braun no longer makes parts for their old shavers. An original Braun foil will snap into the metal foil head easily and precisely, with no resistance. This one binds and needs to be wiggled a bit to make it fit. An original Braun foil gives a very smooth, fast shave. This one pinches and pulls on the whiskers, and if you have longer whiskers, from not shaving over the weekend, it pulls so much that it's downright painful. An original Braun foil would easily mow-through a weekend beard with ease, and never pinch or pull. The shape and size of the holes in this foil must be different from the original Braun pattern. I have had no problem with the foil detaching from the plastic frame.It's just a shame that Braun no longer makes foils or cutters for their older shavers. Those old Braun and Eltron corded shavers were precision-made in West Germany, and seem to last forever. They are much more powerful, and shave faster, than any of the newer battery-powered models. I guess not making legacy parts is Procter and Gamble's (owner of Braun) way to force you to purchase a brand new shaver.

Mine broke on a trip and it was almost impossible to use because it exposed the cutters. I put a small bandaid over it. When I found this on, I was thrilled. I am good to go again. I use this razor for travel so I use it a lot. I am glad to have a replacement. It was quick and easy.

Doesn't fit in shaver head well. Leaves a slight gap.

I'm rating this product a little high with four stars because I actually think there's no other product on the market that would keep my shaver operational. Essentially it replaces the original screen which had torn. For some reason electric shavers have not come down in price, although I'm sure they're much better than they used to be, so I wanted to keep my old one working.I will say that the screen will pull my whiskers painfully if tilted at an angle. I kind of use it like I would a razor keeping it at a 90° angle to my face and only moving it in one direction and that prevents any grabbing of whiskers. Glad to breathe new life into my almost 25-year-old shaver!
