Fantastic Product
I purchased two of these for two Ford Escape's that my family own. The main reason was due to older drivers that do not want to complicate their lives with MP3 devices but want to take advantage of not carting around a 100 CD inventory in their car. The 8 GB flavor of this product could not have been easier. The advantage to senior's and non-tech savy customers cannot be understated.1. The micro physical size allows a low profile. Less chance to be noticed by potential thieves. Less chance to be accidentally removed.2. The large memory size will allow approximately 8000 minutes of music (2000 if at a high bit rate). Tech support (ie family members that originally set it up) can do it all at once and never have to worry about it.3. For those slightly more experienced users, the interface is easy. You have a blank shell when inserted into any OS PC. Just dump the mp3's onto the jump drive and your done.4. Price. $14 and change with free shipping for 8 GB? That's beyond economical, that's a steal.Thank you so much for making my life and my families just a little bit easier. And fun.

Perfect for ReadyBoost duty!
I purchased three of these for use with the ReadyBoost technology built into our Windows Vista/7/8 PCs. ReadyBoost transfers your read/write cache to the flash drive from your hard disk which saves energy and boosts overall performance. This 4 GB flash drive is the perfect size in three ways: 1) ReadyBoost can only use a maximum of 4 GB; 2) the drive is compact and does not stick out so they do not ram up against the wall or have cables catch on them; 3) Since you dedicate the entire drive to ReadyBoost you should never have to remove it. This negates the complaints about it being so small that it is hard to remove and/or easy to lose. When you first plug in the device, a dialog opens and asks you if you want to explore it or use it for ReadyBoost. Click the ReadyBoost option and activate it in the next dialog. You will see a noticeable speed difference and it is particularly useful if your RAM is physically maxed out.I specifically purchased this brand because I read that the transfer rate on other similar flash drives were too slow and required special formatting in order to work with ReadyBoost. True to form, It did not need any special formatting and worked perfectly right out the chute.

Great memory booster for a netbook
I have an HP mini (netbook) that came with 1GB or RAM. I took that out and put in a 2GB stick of RAM when I bought the machine. Note that 2GB is the max for Windows 7 starter. However, over the last three months I have started getting the "you're low on memory, close some stuff dude!" messages from Windows when I have several applications open at once. So, I bought this very small flash drive. NOTE that you have to reformat it to NTFS BEFORE you can use it as a ReadyBoost (memory extender) device.Since installing this I now have an extra 3GB of RAM (ReadyBoost) that was MUCH less expensive than internal RAM and it works great. No more out of memory errors! Works great, I just leave it plugged into a USB port (next to the wireless mouse mini-USB I also always leave plugged in) and it is good to go!

Tiny!
I bought a car stereo with USB support, at 4 Gig it holds as many files as the head unit can index and the tiny size means you hardly notice it when its plugged in. It's perfect for this application. Or any app where you want to leave in plugged into a laptop. As a point of reference it is the same size as a Logitech nano mouse receiver. One down side is the lack of ridges to grip it with. It can be a bear to pull out of a port that is recessed.

Tiny little genius!
This is one tiny little genius of a product! I have always been looking for very tiny flash drives that don't protrude out of your computer or your car stereo thereby being vulnerable to breaking up. I own HP v165w 8gb flash drive (I still own it) which was really small but I wanted an even smaller flash drive for my car stereo so that it would be unnoticeable to a stranger who enters my car and also that it does not break due to movement of hands and is securely fit into the stereo. This one fits that bill spectacularly. Write speeds were pretty decent to above average (got 6.00 to 6.10mb/sec average write speeds). I have loaded the entire flash drive with around 800 songs, and now my car has a never ending collection of music that I can have access to whenever I take a ride on it. And its pretty cheap for the amazing value it gives. Highly recommended purchase. Waiting for a 32gb version of this tiny drive.

Great!
Bought four of the 4GB size of these two years ago. I use them to play MP3 files on the stereo system in my car. Great for those units with a front USB port. A regular memory stick is very easy to bump and damage because it sticks out from the front of the unit. These are so inconspicuous most people don't even notice they're there. Also there are no flashing lights to distract and annoy you on night drives with the dash lights turned way down.A couple of reviewers have said these failed. Not so for me. I don't baby them! They're stored in a plastic 35mm film canister (remember those?) in the console. Subject to serious temperature extremes...and constantly being rattled around against each other. After two years of that treatment they still work fine and I expect they'll continue. One of them actually went through the laundry when I left it in the pocket of my jeans. Found it in there a couple of weeks later when that pair came up in the rotation. Still works! Some other reviewers claim slow read/write speeds. Not so. I haven't run specific tests, but the read/write times seem more or less the same as all the other USB 2.0 storage devices I use on my computers. And that's really the issue. They're USB 2.0 *not* 3.0. If fast read/write times are that critical bite the bullet and upgrade your hardware.
