Fender EVH D-Tuna Drop D Tuning System, Gold

An awesome thing to have on a floating trem for easy drop tuning, but it's not perfect. Every time you go from one to the other, you'll have to fine tune a little more than likely. That being said, for just jamming it's awesome. I wouldn't say you could switch on the fly during a live performance and sound in tune, but I'm not a performer so I still give it 5 stars for the fact of ease of use, it looks nice and does what its supposed to.

These are an awesome investment works fine, keep in mind that they don’t work on a Floyd Rose that floats. Made in the USA, super fine quality, should last a lifetime!

I bounce between standard and drop d tuning all the time and this product just gave me the ability to do so on my favorite guitar, instead of having to switch guitars for different songs. It's important to note, if you having a full floating FR bridge, you HAVE to stabilize the bridge, and will lose the ability to pull up on the trem. Small price to pay for the tuning flexibility IMO. Only knock on this product is that when the D Tunah is pulled out, its kinda loose and you can hear/feel it rattle while you play unless you position it perfectly. Could be user error but otherwise a great little guitar hack.

Really dig the D-tuna. I use it a lot when playing EVH licks. You need to install a trem stop but I never really pull up on the floyd.

Unit I received was defective. Appears during milling the actual d tuna unit was bent/ improperly cut not allowing replacement pole to be inserted down the guide through the unit.Ordered a replacement.*** please be aware these units are designed to be used on top body mounted FR systems. They will require modifications to work on in body cut FR systems. Also be sure your tremolo system is blocked or stopped to be dive only. If you are using a floating unblocked/pull stopped FR, you are basically changing the spring tension during engage/disengage of the d tuna, which will cause tuning instability in many crucial aspects of the guitar which will result in never work properly.

Not only did Edward Van Halen take mastery of the guitar light years beyond what most people could even imagine, with this device, he also solves the biggest pain in the keister there is for guitars with floating trems. Thank you EVH for a lifetime of exceptional music and making the Floyd tremendously more user friendly.

Easy to install, loads of fun. This saved me from bringing two guitars to an audition. As almost all my guitars have a double locking trem sytem, this is invaluable. I plan on purchasing a few more.
