Excellent light for the money
I have been using this light for about 18 months and have been extremely pleased with the quality of the product and the length of charge. The light is run in flash mode on all of my rides. Currently charging it up for the 4th time this year after almost 2500 miles ridden. Cannot be happier with the longevity of the charge which well exceeds what is promised. The brightness has been effective at warning oncoming drivers and has been the difference in preventing a couple of drivers from making poor decisions. Highly recommend this product. Light was purchased in March of 2023.

Very bright with long battery life
Really like this. Bought it for my MTB so I don't have to worry about getting back before dark. But I have taken to also using it on my fat tire ebike when I occasionally have to ride on the street. I try to avoid riding on the street but sometimes I have to, to get from one path to the next. When riding on the street in daylight, I use the strobe and feel like it greatly enhances my visibility. At night, the brightest setting is just a bit too much for road use but excellent for off-road. Mounts just as easily to my MTB handlebars as to the steel basket on the front of my Rad Rover 6+ (about 1/2-inch diameter). If you are serious about long night rides in the moonless forest, there are probably better options. But if you just need a bright light to get home in the dark (and still have fun doing it), this is a great value.

A Great Light and the Drivers Do See You
This is the right illumination for the price! Drivers saw me and said it was very bright, Being rechargeable means that I can charge it up during a long day and have it ready to go for night riding!

Powerful bike light
It fits my bike ideally. Doesn’t weight much. Easy to remove and use as a flashlight. Perfect for the early morning commute.

AMPP 400
Pros: Very bright, low beam is adequate for most commuting situations, hi-beam is quite a bit brighter. The 2 flashing modes are good but I don’t use them. The mount is good.Cons: The button. Too small, very hard to use with winter gloves, I have a Niterider on my other bike and the button is about 50% bigger, no problem with that button. Press and hold the button to turn on. Why? Cateye has had this feature for years. Don’t like it. It’s a light switch, off and on please. This light replaces an older Cateye Volt 300, the AMPP400 is easily twice as good; brighter, whiter, better beam.Overall an excellent light, except for the button.A 5 star light, but the button downgrades it to 4 star.Update 3-25-2022The brightness and spread of the beam on low is perfectly adequate for normal commuting, hi-beam is double the lumens (200 low/400 high) and is bright enough for any situation I encounter. Very impressive. It’s getting warmer so I wore some thin gloves yesterday and the button is still terrible. Not only do you have to press and hold to turn it on, but when you switch between modes there is a slight delay, so you might hit the button twice when nothing happens, and you just skipped the mode you were trying to get. Without gloves will probably be much better. If you have sausage fingers, this light isn’t for you. Will someone at Cateve please buy a Niterider and copy their button?5 star light1 star button

So bright!
This is actually my second AMP1100 - I was in a crash and I snapped the first one off of my handlebars after flipping over them. Even then I was impressed with how the light broke (still functional) and the construction of the attachment which was visible after I snapped it.This light is very bright - on the brightest setting it does a great job of illuminating the woods at dusk. For the roads I prefer the dimmest setting. I also like the blinking feature - it's really helpful for being more visible while biking in the rain. I find the battery life to be excellent and I like the feature that the power button shows me the battery status. Finally, I have tried a few lights and I really like how this one is mounted. The screw design is much less likely to break and I have lost other poorly constructed lights to bumps in the road because it wasn't as sturdy as a cateye. It's worth the extra money to get this!

Always a Great Product..Professional.
Always liked Cateye products from years ago. Well made..simple to use..looks good etc. The main reason for buying this product is the way it mounts to the handle bars..tight and solid. You can unclip the light and leave the mounting hardware attached to the bars. I've been using a rubber strap light and after awhile it seems to move around. Good for mountain biking especially. Try this light out.

Ultra bright but heavy.
Good quality, ultra bright light with multi light option but is quite heavy. Will only use it one long ride at night.

Ampp800 Battery Needs Improvement
I've had my Cateye for just over a year that I use occasionally. It's a nice solid build and the light intensity is good. However recently I notice that the charging red light indicator turns off after less than a minute, indicating that it's no longer charging. Rather disappointing given the price.

Dead after 6 months usage
Purchased two lights. First one came dead on arrival. Battery couldn't charge up. Second unit went dead after 6 months, with the same issue.Pretty decent lights, but seems like the charging issue is a common problem.

Pricy but top quality.
I liked the quick delivery. Easy to use. Light has various functions that extremely useful if you're riding your bicycle at night. You're guaranteed safe and quality service. I would say it's a bit overpriced but I understand that I'm paying for top quality product which I don't mind.
