However if anyone else is wondering how to get the paint from a clumpy texture to a smooth watery one, literally all you have to do is add a pinch of salt. I had no idea this would work, but wow, it worked and it turned out exactly what I needed.it's not a flexible paint, so if your fabric is going to flex, it will crack.
