Great Book
I love this book. I have a copy of one of the pictures on my computer. It is a great look at the world from above. My one minor critique of the book is that the pictures themselves are great; the presentation could have been a little better. The colors (where present) seem muted and that takes away from the grandeurStill, this is a really awesome book. All of the pictures are amazing to look at and admire

Good till they brought politics into it!
Was really enjoying looking through all the pictures through history but then came upon a comparison of Obama’s inauguration to Trump’s and was so disappointed that they had to bring politics into it. Why?

This is a good coffee table book, better exist, but still good
I purchased my copy at Wings over the Rockies, air museum in Denver. It's a fine coffee table history book. It starts in the early B&W era, and transitions to color. It has a nice aesthetic. What pushed me into the buy category was the book did have a couple of photo mosaics. The only thing the book lacks, and it really should have, as part of the history, are a couple of decent stereo pairs. When an astrophysicist rock star like Brian May can publish a book (Moon Mission 3-D) with stereo pairs, people going an aerial history should know the significance of stereo imaging from cartography to military intelligence. A better book is To Fool a Glass Eye by a former DIA analyst. In point of fact, his final chapter is titled "Good, Better, Best". From Above is Good.A book like Elements of Photogrammetry is a textbook and not a coffee table book. And the Manual of Remote Sensing, which has a chapter on history, is largely an essential reference on the book shelf. From Above could have done slightly better. To people who complain about viewing stereo pairs, you just have not had a little bit of training like Harold Wanless' collection of image pairs.Fine for the coffee table.
