Handmaid's Tale, The: Season 3 [DVD]

This season of this tale turns the direction of the story towards taking action against Gilead and has some great episodes, good use of music. I don't know if I am tired of all the face-front, long studies of Elizabeth Moss' face, but the pace of this seems to give time to reflect on what is going on with the characters and the plot. I think the layering in of a post climate-change world vision is interesting as well. No plastics, no excess use of materials. Cars are restricted in this very restricted world. I actually got Season 2 from my library but there is a lot to see that needs being able to replay to get all the richness of the imagery out of it. Can't wait for the next season.

Just finished binge watching this last series DVD Thursday nite. DVDs all worked well. Very engaging program. Had read the book in college and loved the series even more. Very vivid. Very happy with the purchase and grateful to the seller for making available.

I love this season three, but they can't just leave it there, has to be a season four. I thought I had one more , oh I almost died when I found out I was finished Love love love this

The Handmaid’s Tale is by far the best show on. Elizabeth Miss has been a favorite actress since Mad Men. These DVDs arrived in a timely fashion and in perfect shape. Thanks so much!

As with seasons 1 and 2, scared the visceral crap out of me. Would find myself literally perched on the edge of my chair because I was so caught up in the story. The storyline is too near to real life fears to be ignored. Makes me think of moving to Canada to avoid the rush. Kudos to Margaret Atwood!

Because it cost me a lot of money to have this DVD sent to me in Europe, I gingerly took my time in watching each episode and some of them were very depressing at times and had nightmares over the things women in Gilead go through. And yet, my feisty feminist inner goddess won out with how June, her handmaid friends, the Marthas and even Commander Lawrence's wife persevered and were committed to their goals. Aunt Lydia is always wonderful ly created and acted and wished the episode that told us more about her past were a bit longer (I'm biased because I read the sequel to the 1985 Handmaid's Tale, THE TESTAMENTS, by Margaret Atwood and Aunt Lydia is a queen-player in this amazing novel). I also wanted to see more Emily and her adjustment to new life in Canada. Serena Joy is the ultimate victim/villainess and was worth the wait with the various plot changes for her. Enjoy!

All seasons of the Handmaid's tale are exciting and suspenseful, but this season was my favorite. Bradley Whitford as commander Joseph Lawrence brings a bit of redemption to the darkness of Gilead, and the final episode had me weeping with joy.
