This Cuisinart Makes Me Feel All Warm & Toasty Inside!
When our last toaster ("el cheapo brand") tripped the circuit breaker and melted some wires, we knew the time had long since come for a new toaster! We have been extremely satisfied with this Cuisinart! Who knew that a toaster could actually toast bread without burning it?What I really like about the toaster:1. Four slots: Our last toaster only had two slots, but with 5 boys those 2 slots just didn't cut the mustard. Now, our boys are satisfied TWICE AS FAST!2. The "How brown do you want it?" selector: On our last toaster, the dial was way too sensitive. Turn it just a hair and your toast went from light brown to char-broiled. This selector is precise (we like 3 for the most part)3. Cool-touch side panels: Who wants to get burned moving the toaster out of the way after they are done cooking?4. Bagel Selector: Yes, you can cook one side just a bit faster/more than the other. This is also great for melting stuff on one side (not recommended...you didn't hear it from me).5. Cancel button: Much more graceful than trying to gently pry up the handle and then watching your toast go flying into the air!6. Wide Slots: No more shaving down the "Texas Toast" slices or imperfectly-halved bagels. This toaster seems to fit them just fine! What I don't like about the toaster:1. Running out of toast2. It's not solar-powered3. Only comes in white4. No wifi connection (wouldn't it be cool to see the status of your toast from, say, your bathroom?)5. I can't power it with my bicycleAll in all, I would say this toaster fits the bill perfectly. Sure, one side may cook a slight bit faster once in a while, but let's not get too picky. I think this toaster is the best thing since, well, SLICED BREAD!

Works Great!
I had a stainless steel Cuisinart toaster which was still functioning after many years, but I wanted a surface that was easier to clean so I purchased the white model. It works great and had the added bonus of a smaller footprint which I wasn't expecting, but am very happy that it takes up less space.

Nice Toaster
I'd never have thought I could be impressed by a toaster but this one impresses me. It cooks evenly and consistently and has all the settings you need for whatever you need to toast. It cooks faster than my old one so their was a learning curve for me to time it right. I assume that nobody likes cold toast! I like the look of it and it is a smaller than my old 4 slice one so yay! for more counter real estate free.

I didn't like the old one either
I really have trouble evaluating this Cuisinart toaster. It is almost identical the previous Cuisinart we had...my lack of imagination, I guess. I didn't like the old one either. I can't really fault either machine, though. The old toaster worked until we gave it to the Goodwill. The new Cuisinart toasts like the old one, no better, no worse. ("So why replace it?", you ask. Simply, my wife felt it was time to replace an old and faithful toaster. But then, you are hearing this from a man who still wears clothes that are nearing collectible age.) You must keep in mind that you are reading the opinion of a man totally lacking in toaster mentality. As far as I am concerned, a toaster's job is to heat up a slice bread until it becomes crisp, which for me means it should pop up dark and crunchy...unlike the warm bread my wife calls toast. When I read the reviews about this and other toasters, I was amazed at how many people actually used all of those option buttons sported by most models: "bagel", "warm", and so on. For me, a bagel is not more than a round fat piece of bread, something that needs no special attention when toasted. I've never used one of these option buttons in my life, but then this comes from a man who insists on wearing a sweater that is ridiculed by his children and which his wife adamantly refuses to allow him to wear outside the house. (But even she would have to allow to the functionality of a sweater that not only keeps one warm on a cold morning, is a comfortable fit, is easy to get on and off, but is quite capable when doing one's gardening.) One does not casually get rid of a sweater like that.) My beef with the new toaster, as with its old twin, was that the timer knob does not keep the toast down long enough to get my toast to the crispy level I like. I have to press the lever down a second time to do this. Then I have to hover over the darned thing, which means that if I get distracted (which happens with fair regularity), the toast burns and smokes and sets off the kitchen fire alarm. Not a big complaint, though, since I find all I have to do is butter the bread a little more heavily, but it is an annoyance, hence three stars.

Pretty toaster if a toaster could be pretty
Works good and looks good! Of course being able to toast 4 things at once is way cooler than 2 things at once..

its cheaply made
This toaster has 4 slots and 2 slots on the left do not work. There are only the 2 slots on the right which work/I will never buy this product again.I should have returned it but time got away with me with sickness in the house.I'm left with a poor product which only half works.
