Diner 162 Orchard Grass Mountain Rabbit Food, 5 Lb

I decided to try this hay for my senior New Zealand White rabbit. He’s not a picky or fussy rabbit whatsoever. Now everything appears good opening the box. I grabbed a clump out and put it in his litter box over his pellet like usual. And I did notice I had gotten a couple very small pricker thorns in my hand but even then I didn’t see any thorn brush vines either in that clump I gave out nor what I could see that’s in the box. So a few moments later I see him acting really oddly towards the hay and then appeared to become so aggressive towards his litter box it appeared like he was trying to flip it or fight it, idk. But never have I ever witness him act in this way towards anything I’ve put in his crate. And in the past, the very few occasions he didn’t seem to like what I gave him, he just ignored it. No big deal. Then I noticed that he appeared stressed outside of the cage. And then when I attempted to coax him I , he became aggressive towards me, which doesn’t happen. So now it’s obvious he’s not a fan of the hay so I completely clean it out so none of the hay was present. He then immediately return to his cage, used his pan, lost the attitude. Now I’m really not upset about the fact he refused it, what I’m really upset about is that I’m not able to return this whatsoever after trying to. Even through amazons customer service since it’s third party I believe. Like many people these days, I’ve been severely struggling financially and work my but off and still fear possibly homelessness. It’s sounds pretty dramatic to say that loosing 20 some buck really hurts me, but sadly, this is really true. So I just felt I should write this in case it helps others avoid spending money only to have it be wasted. But I guess if there’s other uses for others and they don’t mind plucking tiny thorns out of their hand after touching it, then by all means, have at. Just know you’ve been warned, it’s a bad gamble. It is difficult to get orchard grass w/out hay. It is fresh &soft. If u r looking for hay, other carriers clearly state that. Only downside is that there are small rocks mixed in w/grass. My 5 animals like it!

used to buy it because it was the best for allergies around but I don't know what happened, the last couple hays with them I've tried have been just horrible, they're full of sticks rocks weeds and horse tales, nothing like mountain grass or orchard should be, I don't know what happened but I wish they go back the way they used to be
