Pull the clear cling stuff off bith sides of clear plastic!
Okay I see people talk about the clear part looking rough and scratched up when they recieved it. Theres this clear cling film on both side of clear plastic thing you need to peel off. My Quaker took to it easily. I put news paper at bottom. Just easier clean out after use.

Fantastic!
Fantastic little carrier for my budgie! The only thing different is that it inly came with 1 perch instead of 2, and the inside is gray instead of lime green. Something else to take into account is the screen part is plastic, not wire.

Make your bird a rock star!
I recently travelled from Texas to Washington. WOW - everyone in the airport wanted to see the bird since they had never seen a traveling budgie before, and the “space bubble” was a source of endless fascination. Even if they didn’t stop me to see him, I heard lots of murmuring “of look, honey, that’s a little bird in there” as I made it to my gate. He’s already a rock star, as his name is Freddie Mercury because he LOVES to sing (and I don’t think budgies are typically song birds). But in the airport he had “fans” flocking to see him.I gave my little guy a gentle break in by first giving him his favorite treat with the bubble part mostly down, but while he was sitting on the perch. Next we had daily treats as we closed up the bubble progressively over maybe a week or so. Finally, we put Freddie in and finally closed up the case. We then moved him from room to room, giving him a treat each time. By the time we were ready to go to the airport, so was he.It was a long flight, so no one said a peep to me when I offered water and food through the small zip-up hole in the side. Both were appreciated, so I’m going to say that Freddie seemed happy enough to eat and drink, especially because he had an easy view that “mom” was right there the whole time.I heartily endorse this little traveler. A couple of things I would note. First, it’s not “technically” the right size for some airlines. Alaska wants no larger than 9” wide, and unless you squish the fabric side, this measures 10”. Also, some airlines, (American that I know of), won’t allow birds in the cabin. And finally, you should probably consider taking a knock-down cage of some sort to spend his day in. I have a simple little cage that snaps together and I took it apart and put it in a suitcase. My bird can fly and I couldn’t see him being in the “pod” for rest or overnight. Freddie would just fly around at will if I left him in only 1/2 the “pod” and he’d be too cramped to zip him in overnight. And finally, if you offer food or water through the little zipper hole, be very careful if you have an escape artist - that zipper hole opens widely enough that my arm won’t block it entirely; I can’t imagine the mayhem if Freddie took to the wing in an airplane. Don’t even want to think about it.But all these little things aside, the carrier worked beautifully. Five stars!

Good size and sturdy
It's bigger than we thought it would be which is a plus!! Very sturdy, only took a couple minutes to put together. Our budgie loves going on adventures now!

My bird loves it.
The media could not be loaded. First, I’d like to say that if you’re going to keep an animal in one of these domed plastic backpacks, I would highly recommend that you get a small fan to put on the side to blow air through. Which is what I’ve done. Amazon actually offers the fan if you scroll down on the same page that this backpack is offered. My bird absolutely loves this cage. We have taken him to Pendleton. While we were there, we took him to the Pendleton wool factory, and they loved him just as much as he did. I find that we are very well received in most all stores because he is in this lovely backpack. In these pictures, we have him at Cannon Beach Oregon. We went into Bruce’s candy. And in to the art gallery. He loved it and everyone was very kind to him and us.This backpack is great for an hour at a time. But I wouldn’t necessarily keep an animal in this backpack for longer than that. We have a cage inside of our vehicle and Duke our bird tends to ride on our shoulder or on our seats so ironically, he doesn’t spend much time in any enclosure, while we travel.I can’t tell you how many compliments and pictures people have given and taken when we are out and about with Duke in this lovely backpack. The big plastic dome allows him to interact as you can see from the video with other people. His singing shows that he is extremely content. I also noticed many people commenting about how it is purchased for kittens as well.Five stars for this backpack I highly recommend it to anyone with a bird or a kitten. Maybe even a small puppy although I would think that the puppy and the kitten might scratch the plastic fairly quickly. If you travel and you have a small pet that you want to take with you into stores, this could be the answer to your problem. Very well received and highly recommended. You will be the talk at any store you walk into I guarantee it.

this is so much fun !!! (for me, not so sure about Pickle bird)
i got this for my two year old ringneck to come out with me on adventures. he has a long tail feather so this is nice that i could move the rope perch up high. it is good quality.the only downside to this is how tricky it is to get your bird to go in it. that has nothing to do with the product though.
