Best flats I've ever purchased.
UPDATED TO ADD: I got a second pair of these in brown. Easily my favorite style of flats now. My black ones have worn VERY nicely over the past few months. I have wide feet so I tend to be hard on flats but they show very little wear. My only complaint now is that I wish they had a wider color selection in my size! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I adore flats but also have the dreaded plantar fasciitis. I wore Lucky Brand flats for forever, but their support stinks and the quality has really declined on the last couple of pairs I have owned. I decided to give these a shot and they are seriously the best pair of black flats I have ever purchased. - No toe cleavage! - I got a 10W and it fit exactly as expected (plenty of room) but somehow still makes my wide feet seem narrower than they are. Bonus points for making my boat feet look somewhat more dainty. - They have good support compared to most flats I have owned. I wish there was a little more cushion in the heels, but then again, I'm the dummy still trying to wear flats when I have issues. I put a small gel cushion in the heel and I am able to wear them all day if provided I'm not walking around a ton. - Leather seems to be good quality and durable. I've worn them quite a bit already and they are still looking like new. - My one complaint is that they have a shallow heel. I wish they came up a little further on the back of the heel. They are shallow without an insert, and I have to find a very thin insert in order to add one at all. I plan on buying these in more colors. Love!

Most comfy shoes I have ever put on my feet.
If you're thinking about ordering these flats, go ahead and do it! You'll love them! I ordered these shoes to wear for work. Nude flats are very in this spring/summer but every pair I tried on were way too tight, rubbed at my heal or were of poor quality. After seeing these flats online, I contemplated ordering them but wasn't sure. Then, I ran into a friend who was wearing them and gave them rave reviews. My friend was wearing the nude shade. In person, it was not what I has expected from seeing it online. I decided to order the gold instead of the nude because the nude shade was just a little off from the blush-style nude color I was hoping for. The gold is very subtle and a great neutral. Don't get me wrong - the nude is a nice color. It was just not what I was personally looking for. I was very excited because these shoes were offered in a variety of widths. I wear an 8.5 and am between wide and extra-wide in width. I have never owned a pair of shoes in the correct width. You heard me right... I am 37 and have never owned a pair of shoes in the correct width. I have a bit of a flat foot and have crammed my poor feet into medium widths for years because it's all that mainstream stores sell for the most part. On occasion, I am able to find a wide width, which is sometimes still too tight. So, I ordered an 8.5 extra wide. When they arrived, I felt like I was wearing bedroom slippers. Comfort abound, people. They are terrific because there is a nice insole with offers some arch support, which you don't often get with these ultra-flats that are currently in style. I commute 2-hours each way to my office in Washington, DC every day. That's 4 hours round trip, plus my 9 hour work day. I usually have to wear a comfortable pair of shoes into work and then change into my dress shoes when I get to my office. Not with these! Out of the box, they were super comfortable. They elastic around the foot doesn't rub or bother my foot. They have a nice rubberized sole with an extra "bump" of rubber under the heel and ball of the foot that absorb the shock of all the concrete jungle walking that I do. I can easily go 13 hours in these shoes and my feet don't even feel fatigued. Cannot say enough about them. I hope to order another pair in black soon. Like I said, if you're looking for a comfortable ultra flat that doesn't compromise comfort for style, look no more.

Great shoe, comfortable all day!
I bought these after looking at other reviews and I'm really glad I did. I wear business casual to work in a hospital, so I have the dilemma of finding comfortable women's dress shoes that I can wear all day. I got these as a more affordable alternative to Tieks and really like them. I definitely had to break them in, so if you hate them at first don't give up!! The trim needed time to stretch to my feet's shape and I put band-aids on my heels the first few times I wore them to avoid blisters. But after a few wears, they did break in and now I wear them all day with no problems. Obviously the arch support isn't AMAZING as they are ballet flats and there's only so much support you can fit into a small shoe, but they have much better support than my other dress shoes and flats. I have basically no arches in my feet and these shoes help a lot. The nude color is pretty pale, I'm pale as well and they're almost my skin color. I like the color, but if you're looking for a tan/beige/darker taupe color these are probably too light for you. They do absorb a little of the color from my dress pants at the heel, which wouldn't be much of a problem if they weren't such a light color. I read prior reviews saying they ran a little small and I agree. I usually wear a 9 medium/normal width and bought a 9.5 medium, which fit great. They don't pinch my toes at all. Overall, great shoe. Give them time to break in and I think you'll really love them. I will probably buy another pair!

Pretty, stylish flats with potential
I just got these so I can't speak to their long-term comfort/durability, but so far I like them. In fairness, I had to return the first pair I got; I was so disappointed when I noticed the stitching coming undone fresh out of the box. I am hoping to wear these for a wedding this weekend and ended up having to order them again through a friend's Prime account to get 2-day shipping. If I didn't have that option I would have been very disappointed and may not have bothered getting them again. The second pair doesn't have the issue with the stitching, thankfully. I've wanted a pair of flats for a while now and read a lot of reviews. I didn't want to spend a lot of money but didn't want a cheap pair, either. I was impressed with the positive feedback on this brand/style and loved the color selection. I settled on the Slate Blue Embossed Leather because I wanted a shade of blue to go with a specific outfit and because blue is my favorite color. Depending on how comfortable these are, I could see myself getting more colors. They feel relatively comfortable upon first wearing them, but the edges around the top of the foot are slightly chafing - I wonder if this will get better/softer with wear. The padding on the bottom is nice. Having tried different flats on in-store, I was worried about the heel digging into my foot, but these seem like they won't give me a problem. As they are - with the rubbing around the front - I can't see wearing them more than a few hours at a time. I typically wear a 10-11, depending on the style of shoe, and the 11M fits well. ***12/2/16 update: After wearing these a few times I'm taking away a star. The heel DOES end up digging in, much to my chagrin. I tried using some moleskin on the sensitive areas, but it doesn't stick well and creates its own annoyance. So, I don't use these often. I may try some gel pads at some point, but I hate the thought of spending even MORE money just to get a pair of shoes comfortable.

Not the most comfortable for extended times of wear, but they fit my needs and look great.
First of all, my shoe size is 7.5 - 8 WW/WWW, depending on the make of the shoe. Until I had children, my shoe size was 7-7.5 M; but since then, Iโve had problems with fluid retention and weight gain, which of course meant my feet expanded. I have a ridiculously difficult time finding shoes to fit, much less shoes that are stylish and/or comfortable. These ballet flats are attractive, comfortable, versatile, easy to slip on, conform to the feet so they donโt slip off the heel, well made, and have a soft padded insole. Cons: The sides near the heals are a bit loose fitting for my foot. After some wear and stretching, I do have some concern about the heal slipping. These are just a tad tight in the toe area, so going down a half size would not be an option or a fix for the loose heal issue. My big toe doesnโt touch the end, but it presses into the top. My concern is that my toe may cause a hole to start after continuous wear, since the leather is somewhat thin. There is a soft pad in the footbed, but it doesnโt offer much shock absorbency for the heal or any arch support. Carrying extra weight, I will not be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time or distance in these; however, they are comfortable enough to wear on short outings. People without a weight issue probably wouldnโt have any concern. To sum it up, I believe this is a product worthy of the price and I intend to purchase these shoes in other colors as well when made available in my size.

I recommend purchasing a shoe stretcher or stuffing with lots of ...
Purchased for a woman's size 11 medium width American foot with wide-width across the ball of the foot and toes. Okay - I'll be honest. I am a woman with a man's feet. My feet are larger than many men's feet. I have a lot of trouble finding shoes that fit. This is a professional looking flat shoe. Looks expensive. The bend of shoe in the photo means that the elastic pulls tight. I recommend purchasing a shoe stretcher or stuffing with lots of paper to stretch the elastic. I also recommend the extra step of ordering moleskin for protecting the back of the heel from the elastic. The padding in the bottom of the shoe gave it a little arch support and more comfort. This shoe is appropriate for office attire. The shoe actually folds nicely into a purse, but needs help from a thick rubber band or elastic hair band to keep it folding. This shoe is heavier than the usually fold-able purse shoe - but its not a heavy shoe. It's still lightweight - but not as lightweight as other portable flats. Keep in mind the size 11 has more weight than a smaller sized shoe. This is why the shoe is a little heavier - more materials were put into its construction. The sole of the shoe protects the foot from the natural outdoor elements. The sole of the shoe has a safety grip for non-slip on carpets and slippery hard floors. It has a very low wide heel. This shoe can go from day to night. Some creative people could add some bling to this plain looking shoe. A bow or other trim can be added if needed for a wedding shoe. Because it stretches, this flat shoe can accommodate many foot widths. Because of the pull from the elastic, I recommend ordering moleskin to protect the back of the heel from irritation. This is a nicely designed shoe that runs true to size for a size 11. I would buy it again. I hope you found this review helpful in your decision making process.

Looked old and worn out in weeks...
I needed a shoe that would hold up to daily wear indoors while supporting my foot as I ran around photographing a conference. I've owned a Hush Puppies leather purse that held up beautifully for years, so I decided to go ahead and pay a little more money to get a shoe made by them as well. Initially these ballet flats felt pretty good if just a smidge long. But after only one week of wear, I had to go buy an insert for support because the shoe's support had completely flattened. No problem, that's nothing a few more dollars can't fix...I guess. After 2 weeks of wear, the color in the right shoe had leached out until there was/is a noticeable difference in the color of the two shoes. (One is still black while the other is a charcoal gray with some areas showing more worn than others.) I didn't wear these in rain and inclement weather. They were mostly indoors on concrete and carpet. A poor dye job is a little more of a problem. I didn't spend over $80 on a pair of shoes only to have to do serious polishing/repair work to keep them looking presentable in under a month When I mentioned my disappointment to a friend over the high cost of this shoe and the seemingly low quality, she looked dumbfoundedly at my feet and responded, "Those are only 2 weeks old? I would have guessed significantly older, like months or years old." So, long story wrapped up, I sadly wouldn't recommend this shoe unless faded and flat-footed is your goal.

Finally, a comfortable pair of flats!
These shoes are amazing!! I waited a couple months to write this review because I wanted to see how they would break in, and I'm glad I did. It took me about 3 weeks (wearing them 3-4 days a week) to fully break them in and they are now one of the comfiest pairs of shoes I own! I pretty much wear them to work every day because they're so low maintenance and they match everything. They're a shiny patent leather with reddish pink soles just like the pictures. The leather has completely formed to the shape of my feet in a way only genuine leather can. No synthetic material would change its shape like this. They have more support than I thought they would (though keep in mind they're still ballet flats so support is still minimal compared to tennis shoes). I have a standing desk at work so I stand about 4 hours a day, plus I go for a 30 minute walk at lunch most days. These have held up beautifully and are still completely comfortable by the end of the day. I have extremely narrow feet and I've never found a pair of flats that would stay on without my heel slipping out. Until now! Absolutely no slippage whatsoever! I ordered them in a narrow. I also have sensitive skin that tends to blister and redden easily, so I wear these with little black no-show socks. Without the socks they do begin to rub a little, but haven't actually caused a blister. With the socks they are so intensely comfortable it's like wearing slippers. The rubber soles are an excellent addition. I'm clumsy and tend to slide on hardwood, but these have such a good grip on the bottoms that I haven't slipped once! I really can't recommend them enough. I've been looking for black flats for years and these are the first pair I've ever truly liked. I expect that they'll last for years (they still look new and I've worn them on some extremely long walks around the city in less than nice weather) but when they finally wear out I definitely plan to repurchase.

Love these
Love the chaste ballet flat. This is my third pair. My only critique is that it doesn't have as much arch support as previous years. The colour is exactly as pictured.
