This pregnancy has brought a lot of trouble with sleeping (new issue for me - 8th baby) and regular restless leg trouble, and though I still get RL, after taking this for 4 wks, it's very rare (there were periods where it was nightly) and it's never while I'm settling to go to sleep now so that's wonderful. I'm definitely sleeping soundly now and have FAR less headaches and no migraines as well - which had also become a real problem this pregnancy. Sleep quality has obviously improved. The difficulty in assessing this product's effectiveness is in my simultaneously using a Mg lotion, both started within days of one another. It's hard to tell how effective this has been for the main symptoms I've been trying to alleviate as well: pre-term contractions. I'm taking it along with a Mg cream and an herbal tincture to try to stop pre-term labor. Most Mg suppliers warn effects can take weeks to notice. I'd say if this supplement is helping limit contractions - which it may very well be - it took a few weeks to start. Honestly though, I can't tell what is doing what - but I'm certainly staying on this supplement to do all that I can to help. My contractions have backed off a bit, but I think it took a good 2 weeks to notice and this supplement was taken in conjunction with a topical Mg which is supposed to be the ideal absorption form. I chose this supplement specifically though as it looked like the best quality Mg for bioavailability. I normally use a different supplement co but their Mg contains the herb Ashwagandha (which is an abortifacient) so after some searching I found Smarter Nutrition and will continue looking at them for our families supplement needs as their standards seem to be of the caliber I expect, if I am to expect actual results. I am 72 years old and I’m tired of being in Pain all the time my whole body. I have AS,PsA,Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, plus Crohn’s disease. In the last 4 years I’ve had a Knee replacement surgery, then I had my Neck fused then Rotator Cuff surgery 2020. My Rheumatologist has tried me on 3 different kinds of Biologics. Cimzia injections which helped my Crohns. Then Simponi Aria-IV’s for 6 months, Then back to Cimzia.. I had skin problems, I was losing my hair and I just got worse. OMG what a difference it has made in my life I’m sleeping better, it has calmed me down and is gentle on my stomach without causing a laxative effect it is also easy to swallow... This past week I added Joint Food to my daily routine. Now this may sound hard to believe but I can actually move my shoulder better without as much pain, I’m walking better without stiffness and I wake up in the morning and I’m not stiff, swelling has gone and I’m more flexible., OMG.. This is it... I will not ever try another biologic.

So happy the product is back in stock! It was a long month without it. No other Magnesium compares or even comes close to it. I am finally able to relax and get a good night's rest. Customer for life!

What I like about this particular magnesium is it's a different kind that the other sources I take, so I feel I'm getting enough variety to "cover all the bases." And I like that it's very easy to swallow, although you would have to take a number of gel caps to amt to the 400 mg I like to get per day. And it supposedly has a special molecular structure and AstraGin added and both makes it more bio-available (gave it a 4 for absorbency, because w/out some kind of testing I don't know for sure). Right now I'm taking 3 different types of magnesium and self test each day to see which one(s) my body wants/needs and so far Smarter Nutrition is always one of them. What I don't like about the formula is the added caramel and I'm not sure about the tapioca and beeswax that are part of the gel cap, I guess. I personally like as few ingredients as possible as part of the delivery package as possible. Not sure if that's possible in this case, but feel that companies should definitely try to keep things as simple and "clean" as possible. Anyway, give it a try and see what you think!

I used to take melatonin dissolvable tablets but I kept waking up multiple times a night from vivid, weird dreams. And didn’t feel like I actually slept well. I have been using this magnesium instead and it feels like much more natural sleep. I personally don’t feel any other benefits from this magnesium besides better quality sleep. But that’s what I bought it for so it’s doing its job!

Most magnesium supplements are HUGE. This is slightly smaller. And the price is good.
