Persian Quality Setar Sehtar String Musical Instrument

Although I have never owned or seen a setar in my life (other than the one I now own) I do own a variety of other stringed instruments to base my perception on. The instrument is worth every penny from what I can see. There are imperfections here and there but the sound is what counts. This is not to say it is not a pretty instrument, rather it is wonderful to look at and a joy to play. It feels alive as I play it and the entirety of its shape vibrates with the strings. The strings, I was not aware of, are EXTREMELY light. In the first ten minutes of playing it I pulled too hard and broke a string (although it ships with a free pair luckily!). Would recommend to anyone looking to own a setar but not looking to break the bank. I have to say when it came in with the package with dings and knocks on it I got excited since it felt like it had come so far to be in my hands. The setar is a wonderful instrument, this particular one is bright and full sounding. Cheers! Also forgive my use of effects while playing in the video... I couldn't help myself

Beautiful sound and beautiful to look at! This is a quality Persian setar at a budget price. If you already play guitar or another fretted instrument, you'll be able to make some pleasing sounds on this right away. Lots of resources on the web about tuning, etc. The wood and finish on the instrument are extremely beautiful. The walnut neck is straight and strong--plays true all up and down the fretboard. Extremely well packed & fast shipping (about three weeks). Comes with two sets of replacement strings. (If you break a string, replacement is easy--but remember you can take the wooden tuning peg completely out of its hole, wind the end of the string around it with a little tension on it, then replace the tuning peg in the hole, pushing down a bit to seat it again--really easy!)

The instrument is simply beautiful and though simple in it's design, is a steal at $199. Was very surprised for such an affordable price to hear how beautiful the strings sound when plucked. You don't have to worry if you have small hands because it's easy to wrap your fingers around the narrow wooden arm that holds the strings and no special sitting position is needed to play. The seller is a gem to work with and resolves any issue that may occur with expediency! I would suggest trying different strings if the ones that come with it tend to break upon tuning. There are other ones selling on Amazon. Tip: Should probably get the more expensive ones. Otherwise, great gift--great instrument to explore and have fun with it!!!

The product looks fine but doesn't work

This is my first Setar and I am beyond impressed by the quality, sound and craftsmanship of this instrument! It sounds great and the walnut pegs hold the strings and tuning very well. The mulberry and walnut are just lovely and I have been enjoying learning on this Setar very much. Highly recommend you try one for yourself. Sala Musik the seller, delivered this to Texas soooooo fast I was blown away. It came packed very nicely and its obvious care went into both the shipping and the instrument itself. Get one. It's good for the soul. :)

I was expecting it to be a week or so but it was just a few days.. Packaged very well. Comes with black storage bag similar to soft guitar bag. Already pre-strung, Tune and Go !

I must say. I think they have great products good quality and punctual service. They reply back really fast which shows they care for there customers and acomidate you when the delivery service is at fault. Over all I had a good experiances and I am ordering more things from them.

Sure, this might not be a concert quality instrument but for a beginner or a dabbler on a budget, I am so grateful for an affordable option of this exquisite instrument! If you become a serious player you can always upgrade. I appreciate the extra strings and the company’s video on their YouTube channel on how to change the strings, just in case! If you’re new to this instrument I would suggest doing a web search to see how much info is/is not available in English on this instrument. There seem to be a couple of excellent YouTube series, and a few articles, and that’s about it. I’m looking forward to learning on my own though.

I bought this product as a beginner and I really liked it. Its handy, light and it has a little bag to store the instrument. The instrument is great but what I really liked was the costumer service. The Sala Muzik Europe were so helpful with shipment and handling the custom tax. I would definitely recommend them.
