Gelert Double Flock Airbed inc Inflator

I bought this bed because we had some friends coming to stay and needed a good spare bed. I thought the internal pump would be good during the times when we didn't have an electric pump at hand. We tried to use it the first time and quickly got bored with it. The pump did work just took ages. If we had a lot of time and nothing else to inflate it with would use the foot pump. In the end we used an electric pump to inflate it which took a few minutes.The bed was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be and much more comfortable too. It comfortably fit 2 people during the night (and then 2 more in the morning!). And maintained firmness throughout.If you are looking for a good quality air bed then go for this one but don't rely too much on the internal foot pump.

I took it to a five day festival and had the best recovering sleep ever. Although sleeping with my partner I did not bounce around as expected when he moved. We had to inflate it everyday to top up the firmness of the mattress (it got very hot in the tent so fair enough...) but that's just a minor one-minute-really- worth-it effort...We inflated it straight after unpacking it, took a few minutes to sort out how to pump it up but once the trick found it took less than 15 mins to inflate.So basically great product, and would recommend for the occasional use. :)

I feel very foolish not reading the reviews before buying. This airbed didn't work for me. I started to pump it up, and it worked for the first two pumps. Then the pump seemed to get stuck into the bed and stopped working. I tried everything to gently pull the material away from the pump, but it didn't work....suffice to say, I will be reading reviews BEFORE buying. I will be choosing an airbed and separate pump in future. Hugely disappointed as I was hoping it would make my life easier.

I've owned several airbeds now and this has been the best. I've had it for 2 years and it's been to 4 festivals. It inflates in about 15 minutes and amazingly lasts 2 weekends for 2 adults, without having to reinflate it. When I say weekend I mean between 4 and 6 nights, which I think is amazing. So far it's been very reliable and I'm pleased with it after so many inferior experiences. It's comfy too. I've never paid more for an air bed, so I can't comment on more expensive models, but I would recommend this one for the price.

So far so good, used once, quite slow to inflate, lots of footwork needed. Deflates easily. Here's hoping it stays usable after long-term usage.Now editing after three years of ownership. Used quite rarely but it still stays inflated after a couple of nights, so no problem there then. N.B. Couldn't get it to inflate last time ... until I remembered to take the plug out! Duh. Could this be the problem other reviewers are having, saying the pump doesn't work?

This is an easy to inflate airbed which I used for a friend staying with us for a week. After that I used it for a camping trip. It was comfortable and stayed firm-ish for around 8 hours. I would say it needed topping up a little every night though. After use it folded away fairly easily.

The delivery was quick, easy to pump up, and fast, using the built in foot pump, although it differs from the pic shown. The built in pillow is pretty good. It slopes a bit down to where the pump is, and it is a fairly bumpy sleep with dips in and out throughout the bed. I wouldnt recommend just using a sheet to lay on, id use, well i do use a quilt doubled over, and still feel every bump there is. lolI wouldnt recommend this to anyone that has back problems, leg problems, or anyone wanting to use it long term while they save ( mortgage style) for a proper bed.However for a short term camping trip or for a short term guest staying over then it is worth having it.

I needed a spare bed when my mum and sister came to visit me for 8 days. I never had an airbed before, so I was a bit worried reading some reviews on Amazon. I don't know why others had bad experience, as I did not and I found it was so easy to use. It inflated in about 15 minutes no problem with the integrated footpump. It is easy and pumps the bed up to a desired pressure very quickly. I slept on it myself with my sister and although we are quite tall (5' 11) it was comfortable for both of us. I had to refill the bed a little the third day though. I'm glad I bought this product and will definitely use it again whenever unexpected visitors show up.
