This kickstand is great! For the price, it's unbeatable. You even get two nice small screwdrivers with it!I did notice some reviews mentioned stripping of screws. Two things on that:1) The two screw drivers are different. One is philips, the other is a tri-wing. Take a moment to see which one you have in your hand before you apply it to the screws, because that will strip a screw head.2) Apply hard/firm pressure from the top of the screwdriver and turn slowly at first. Use your feel to make sure the screwdriver doesn't slip. Apply more pressure if it tries to slip. Do the same in return. Don't overtighten!One part was tricky was after the screws were removed and trying to separate the back shell, there was one area near the game cartridge slot that stuck. To get past this, wiggle the back shell back and forth slightly by turning it relative to the rest of the console, but not too far, or you might break some tabs.That's it! I will say the screws are extremely small so make sure you have a way to not lose track of them. A white sheet of paper works fine. The process was extremely easy and the upgrade is way better than the factory.

The original stand that Nintendo built into the Switch is a cheap flimsy plastic item. Even if yours is not broken, just wait a while...This product is well built. The hinge part has a metal plate that screws to the console giving the stand the proper support it needs. Addition of the screw drivers is a big bonus for those who do not necessarily have those tools with them. The instructions are all pictorial, so even my 11 year old could do it with basic supervision.

Installation was a breeze…just don’t rush it. If you are stripping screws it is because you aren’t paying attention. I had a point where a screw driver didn’t fit…but I realized it was slipping and switched it out. These screw are tiny and can be removed quite easily with just a bit of pressure. For mine it was green screwdriver for the corners….and blue for everything else (this was the Phillips). But not sure if the colors change or not..so take it slow.The stand itself…not the best. Feels just as flimsy as the original and I don’t have great expectations on the longevity….but time will tell. The nice surprise is the quality of the screwdrivers…the Phillips head will be useful for glasses, sunglasses and small toys.

Once received, I read the directions and was kind of horrified at how many screws I had to remove from the Switch to install this. Reading through the reviews again, I saw references to being careful not to strip the screws lest you not be able to get them back into place. But, lots of people said it was easy, so I gave it a shot. I started on my first screw and found it near impossible to loosen without stripping. Never mind - not worth risking our $300 Switch for this. I found a replacement kickstand that merely snaps in and definitely works better than the original, without putting the integrity of the Switch at risk. I'm sure it's very sturdy, but I can't recommend it.

I didnt realize I had to take the bakc of the switch and their tools stripped my screws trying to get the back off. I finally managed to get it ofg and get the kick stand on. It is sturdy and hast fallen off. I would buy it again but be careful not to put too much pressure wjen removing the screws off the switch

Makes replacing a broken-off kickstand pretty easy. Kickstand itself isn't going to stand up to a lot of abuse but keep in mind I'm saying that in a review where ... the original kickstand is missing. So, just in general and by its nature I think it's a weak point of the Switch. This kickstand is "good enough" and the tools worked great. Just keep track of your screws!!

Seriously high quality drivers provided. Not sure about the stand build quality, but it is legit and screws in place. I'd prefer this over the snap-in nonsense that the others are selling. Good job!Tip: The drivers fully rotate at the top, so apply enough pressure to avoid stripping your screws. Palm down on top and unscrew with fingers. Ez-pz :)

My kids snapped the kickstand off our switch. I got this kit and was easily able to replace it. It was so convenient to have the screwdrivers included. I also found the step by step picture directions helpful.
