I bought some unopened geodes and was not certain what to do with them. Researched and found that a hammer and chisel would create a clean cut for displaying. This chisel worked perfectly! Made a clean cut in both geodes, which meant four beautiful halves for display. Highly recommend this product for a novice! Paired with kid- and adult-sized safety glasses for a fun and educational bday party activity!

This is a great chisel that is heavy duty and feels great in the hand. It has a good weight to it, which makes me feel as though this should last a long time. I have used it to create holes in the hard clay soil for my solar light stems. I have used it with a hammer and it has held up well. I haven't missed striking the center, but the hand guard gives me confidence when I'm striking down with a hammer. I can't wait to use this on other projects. The price is reasonable. The tip is nice and sharp. I like the size because I can store this in a small gardening bucket along with my other trowels and gardening hand tools.

Worked well to make short work of putting a hole in a block wall for a double gang new work outlet box. Don't expect the green finish to hold up.

This held up just fine to pull up tile in a bathroom, and the hand guard spared my fingers from multiple hammer blows during the removal project. It saved me $600 to do it myself rather than have the flooring company do it before installing the new floors!

Used it to take a wheel bearing out of a rusty van, not the intended purpose of course but worked great!

This chisel is big and heavy right off the bat, I originally used a big rubber mallet to hit this chisel, but now I have turned to a small stocky Masonry hammer. Works great!!

Better quality then I expected

had to chisel some concrete around a drain pipe whose opening was flush with the ground to get a cap over it. did not hit my hand once lol! the tip did not get damaged so it's not a cheap imitation tool.

I was disappointed that there was a small chip out of the edge of the chisel, but considering I'm going to be breaking rocks with it I'm not too concerned. I just hope that it's not an indication that the casting was defective.
