Great Lifetime Toy for Children
Wonderful teaching tool for the youngest of children! My 8 month old grandson even loves to play with these, in fact one of the first toys he always grabs when he comes over to visit. If you purchase the Grimm's wooden balls, can be used together with the stacking bowls to match colors, etc. May seem a little expensive for a toy, but will last forever. If you find the wood a little rough when you first get it, just take brown packing paper or a brown shopping bag and use it like sand paper on the toy. It will take all that roughness away and make it a more smooth surface without taking any color off the toy, easy fix!

An instant hit with the baby.
My seven-month-old enjoys clacking objects together and knocking over stacks of toys. These nesting bowls keep the baby entertained for much longer periods than I would've expected. They make a pleasant clicking sound when tapped against one another or bashed with a wooden spoon. They arrive with a finish that I would describe as somewhat more than "matte" in texture, but not rough enough to make me worry about giving them to the baby. The surfaces seem to be wearing smooth through regular play. The baby likes to gum at these bowls, and because they are dyed, I am not worried about the vibrant colors chipping off as teeth come in. I do keep close watch when the baby has the smallest bowl, as it hovers near the size threshold of being a choking hazard. There are many similar plastic toys that are far more economical, and of course, babies are often delighted to play with any simple household object. Even so, we consider these nesting dishes to be a good value for the money spent. I would recommend them to anyone who does not live in a large home and would like a toy with surprisingly high play value in a small footprint.

Not safe for babies and toddlers
The quality of picture is deceiving of the actual product quality. The paint doesn’t seem to be painted, sealed or sanded properly for a children’s toy. The bowls feel very grainy. I bought it for my toddler and now I’m concerned about him putting it in his mouth and it being unsafe. Also, there was a strange unprofessionally written note that said to not be concerned about two holes in one of the bowls because they were there for safety measure. How exactly???

Great investment
Amazing just amazing I want a set in every color! I would also love to see a larger set! I love how they are the same height so little ones can focus on the diameter being the difference between each one. Yes they are unfinished however it is for a purpose! Research about Grimms, wooden toys, montessori. Look at the amazing things that can be done with these toys on Pinterest and Instagram before you judge them. Yes the price tag is high, but the return is higher!

perfect for little hands and blossoming minds!
Absolutely perfect for my 13 mo. daughter to play with. Perfect for stacking, sorting and pouring. She loves filling them with little treasures... Great for little hands! I love that I can find quality products at a great price that are safe for our little one to mouth on and explore with her creativity! I highly recommend. Happy to support a quality company. Worth every penny, as they will take on new purpose as she and her creativity blossom. <3

Grimms toys are THE BEST!
I love everything Grimms! Started a collection for grandkids. Now they want to take the toys back home with and I think I will need to start own my collection. Do not hesitate to get them. A bit costly but so much worth it!

Too much money for it to be rough
Got this as a birthday gift for my 1 year old. I found it to be really rough. For the price, I’d expected it to at the very least be sanded smooth.

Simple toys are best!
These stacking bowls are very nice and simple. They were smaller than I expected and more of a matte finish than I expected, but this is primarily due to my not researching the product thoroughly. My daughter loves simple toys for her son and she was very pleased with these as they have developmental stacking and nesting play potential as well as will work as bowls in imaginative play.
