LOVATIC Excel Medicated Dental Wipes, 90 wipes (J7412)

I have a two year old Golden Retriever and I've used these wipes for about a year. He's young and doesn't have a lot of tartar, but when I took a short break - about a month because we had moved and things were chaotic - I noticed that some tartar started to build up. I'm glad that happened, however, because now I know that the wipes really help. My dog isn't crazy about his mouth being messed with, but he tolerates it because we've just made it a routine, and I put a Greenie stick in front of him on the floor for his reward when we are done. Doing the wipes takes about 30 seconds in our night time routine and it seems well worth it. I really only do the top teeth - I've heard that is the most important part as they don't get much tartar on the bottoms, and the bottoms seems harder to do. I also tried another brand, but didn't feel that brand worked as well... these seem easier to grip. My goal is to avoid the expensive veterinary cleanings and anesthesia as much as we can. While a toothbrush would be better, the dog is not a fan, I'm not a fan, and I didn't stick to it like I do the dental wipes.

We ordered these dental wipes because we recently adopted a chihuaha puppy. I have heard from many people that they are prone to bad teeth and to start a teeth cleaning regimen right away. We purchased these and a additive for the water fountain all our pets share. The wipes come in a nice screw top container, making it easy to open and closing while holding a wiggly puppy. They smell nice. The downside is they can be hard to separate and sometimes we end up using 2-3 wipes at once instead of just one. This isn't a huge deal since they aren't that expensive, but I wish they were a little easier to separate. We have begun using them on our bigger dogs as well. Our one dog is petrified of them for some reason. The other dog happily sits and smile for a teeth cleaning. We initially tried a dog toothbrush, but the chi clamped his mouth shut and was having none of it. So far, we are happy with this product and will continue to purchase it.

I've been using these wipes for years, and I really like them - as does my pooch Niki. Sure...she's not a fan of having me put my fingers in her mouth :), but she likes the taste of the pads. That's what sold me on them the first time that I tried them. Niki will gladly lick one of these pads for several seconds, which not only tells me that she likes the taste, but it also helps to clean off her tongue.In addition to Niki liking them, they do help keep her teeth clean. She hates when I try to brush her teeth, but she tolerates this much better. I try to use one every morning after our walk, and she knows it's coming - and doesn't avoid it. I wipe her teeth with one side of the pad, and then I flip it over to the clean side to let her lick it.I like the size of them now that I'm used to them, but they can take a little while to get used to. Be careful at first to keep a grip on them because they can get pulled from your hand if your pooch is licking, and you probably don't want them to swallow these. I don't know if these would hurt Niki if she swallowed one, but I'd rather not find out.The container is great. The lid screws on and seals in the moisture, and I've never once gotten to the bottom of a stack and had a dry pad.I can't remember all of the dental products that I've tried, but these are the ones that I decided on and have stuck with for years. I absolutely recommend them.

I bought these when the brand I was initially looking for wasn't available. It seems to be a fine product in general, my dogs didn't object to the taste and they don't smell overpoweringly refreshing. However I have two Newfoundlands, a giant breed dog, with giant mouths and teeth and these wipes are more appropriate for like a Teacup Yorkshire Terrier. They are so small (like the stridex face wipes we used as teens) that when I try and wipe their teeth down, they nearly swallow the wipes altogether and are quite difficult to hold on to. I would not recommend these dental wipes to any dog owner except the owner of a toy breed.

These would be better if they weren't so darn small. If they were the size of a baby wipe they'd be 100 times better when it comes to cleaning my little dog's teeth. Bottom line: they are too small to be useful. If they actually clean the dog's teeth and freshen his breath I'll never know it because my dog won't cooperate.The problem is not the size of my dog. My dog is small. But he's got a tongue that can move more ways than a Reno lap dancer. While I'm trying to wipe his teeth he's wrapping his tongue around the teeny little Excel Dental Wipe which he believes is a tasty morsel brought to him by the good people of Amazon.Don't be so cheap, Excel ... make these things bigger. They're simply too small to be practical unless you have a dog who likes to stand quietly and patiently with his mouth wide open while you carefully wipe each and every tooth with a teeny little cloth. (If you have such a dog, I'm guessing you got it in your ceramics class or at a Myrtle Beach gift shop while on vacation).

I like these. Wish they were a tiny big bigger, but they are still good. My dog hates having her teeth brushed. I've been getting her dental cleanings for the last several years, but as she gets older and with her heart issue , I don't want to have to keep doing that. So I use these most days, before bed, and then use a tooth brush maybe every 3-4 days. Her breath is WAY better all the time, her teeth are still shiny and white. Had her dental about a month and a half ago and they still look pretty good. No adverse reactions to these. They are a little small, but work fine for my 12lb dog. Not sure if it would work as well for a larger dog.

Very good product! My dog hates brushing her teeth so we have been using dental sprays, chews and water additives. We noticed a dramatic change in her stinky breath and I think that it is great that I finally get to brush her gum and teeth. It smells minty and my dog doesn't mind the taste at all!

Very good and easier than using a tooth brush

Time will tell how good they work.....at least the dogs do no mind the taste.

Easy to use and does remove some build up on the dog's teeth...No improvement on her breath though.
