Wonderful color combination
The quality is good in terms of softness, strength, and colors, but it's a little too expensive if you want to make a sweater or something.

Good Sturdy Sock Yarn that Just Keeps Going
I've been using Patons Kroy Sock to knit socks for years, and it never disappoints. It's sturdiness is surpassed by none. My husband burns through socks -- even the sturdiest heavy duty commercial socks last AT BEST 6 months with him. The socks I knit him with Kroy - which are used regularly, at work, hiking, etc, just like commercial socks, never die. His oldest pair is over 8 years old and hasn't even needed mending yet.I also really enjoy the texture of the yarn, it's not supersoft, but that's not what I want for socks. It's rustic and hardy and feels good.

Reliable sock yarn
I can always rely on this sock yarn to work up great and wear like iron. I have a pair that after at least 10 years wear, just got a hole in heel.

Love the rustic feel.
I bought this so I could have a good, basic dark neutral for socks. It’s not the softest to the touch, but I actually like a more rustic feel, so this is definitely going to be one that I will always try to keep in my stash.

very disappointed!!
`I do like this yarn, but did not receive what i ordered. One skein was correct, but the other had the correct label, but was the wrong yarn. I am not able to get out to return the wrong one, but by returning was the only way i can get any help. There is no other way to contact Amazon - no phone number and no help on line. I did request a callback, but did not receive one.

Matchable
Needed to tame down the stripes in a pair of socks. Matches well with the first yarn.

Socks came out perfect
The yarn is very nice but, I needed to make the socks longer but ran out of yarn. Seemed like the skeins were not made for x-long socks.

Wool be a socks ?
These are very nice , soft and easy to knit. I got one spon for a low price at a craft store, need it another one to finish the socks, but it has been out of order. So pay twice the price but will finish my socks is my very first knitting so had no idea ...leason learned....

Excellent Yarn !
I put Paton's Kroy sock yarn now on the level of Opal and Regia yarns, (although Regia makes it easier to make 2 identical socks by their Easy Start yellow strip) but as I knit from the toe down this is not as crucial for me to make identical socks.. With Paton's Kroy you have to buy 2 balls of 166 yds. to make a pair of socks, and for the sizes I want to knit, there is plenty of yarn in each ball for each sock and to find the right starting point. Paton's Kroy sock yarn is lovely to work with and I I love the color selections.

Great yarn for socks. Better priced offline, though.
This yarn knits beautifully for socks. I ordered online due to inability to get to my local craft store which sells this for less.

Lovely sock yarn
This is lovely sock yarn, but the package took several weeks to get to me. I'm in Canada and the wool came from the US. Go figure.
