Definitely in the 'last pair of boots you'll ever need' category!
These boots are quite simply fantastic. Everything about them is spot on (except for one thing- see later).Leather - beautifully cut and stitched and really great quality with a nice waxy finish. Will wear very well I think.Laces and eyes - hold a knot very well (I tend to use a reef knot) with a smooth pull through the eyesFit - definitely go 1/2 - 1 size smaller than you'd normally take. By way of a benchmark, I'm a Clark's 8.5 and the size 8 Timberlands fit me like a glove.Comfort - some of the best shoes I've ever worn. Easy to wear looser for casual wear or laced more firmly for more ankle / foot support when you're out and about. Either way, very comfy.Sole / grip - the sole is quite (slightly too?) soft and provides excellent cushioning but represents the one weak area for this boot- grip on smooth, wet surfaces is not great. It's possible this will improve with time but I suspect not.Overall, buy with confidence- you're unlikely to be disappointed.

I love, love
I love, love, love my Timberlands and I'm now and I had three pairs of this particular model; each pair lasting approximately 18mths. My only minor niggle would be that the sole doe's tend to wear a little quicker than I would have imagined for a boot so rugged. That aside they are extremely comfortable and supportive; look good and of great quality - even my older boots are still wearable with no visible wear to the boot itself and I use these for DIY jobs around the house where I know they are going to get mucky.. keeping my new ones for best. When my current ones need replacing I'll be purchasing exactly the same ones again.

As expected for the price and brand - comfortable, warm and dry
I bought these as a more heavy duty leather winter boot that i could wear out on the town and to work as opposed to my fashion boots or hiking boots. Looks wise, they look great and are very well made, - as you'd expect from Timberland. Size wise, they are a little roomier than previous brands ive worn, im typically a comfortable 12 fit with boots and these are a little looser. In terms of warmth, dont expect toasty warm feet as you might get with Goretex hiking boots, but stick an extra pair of socks on and these boots are pretty warm. The thick sole shields your foot from the cold ground transference too.You do get a fair amount of grip in wet and snowy conditions, and the sole stands up well to the elements, but beware, because they are essentially soft gum, they are pretty slippery when it comes to ice! You can always get yourselves some of those snap on ice shoes if you're worried about itIve noticed other reviewers talking about the life of the sole - i cant comment on this too much as ive only had them for a couple of weeks (still, ive worn them every day!) but it seems to be fine for now. Re-soling is fairly cheap though and once these gum soles finally give out i'll be replacing them with a harder thermal compound sole so they are less slippery on ice.I also bought the timberland waximum protector for these and applied it straight away to protect against discolouration from water and salt, and id recommend you do the same - you might notice a darkening of the leather at first but as the leather absorbs the wax it'll return to the normal colour.Overall, a sturdy, well made boot with some heavy duty and premium leather - comfortable, warm and dry.

Best. Boots. Ever.
I bought these boots to complete the Camino Santiago, Spain as an alternative to hiking boots. Yes they did the job admirably. Strong, supportive and NO blisters. What's more they look great when not trudging the path. I've had them over two years and they've been worn most days in winter and autumn but they've not worn down any more than I expected. Recommended for hiking as well as the city. Will be buying more when (if) they ever wear out.

Above and beyond
Ordered these boots on 22nd December at around 8.00 pm and they were delivered on the morning of 24th December! Absolutely fantastic service, especially at Christmas time! Thank you Amazon. The boots themselves seem superb! I tried them on immediately for fit and they seemed comfortable enough but didn't get around to going out in them until today. I went for a walk to my local village (about 1.5 miles) - not a single bit of discomfort and beautiful to wear! Excellent.

Lowest break in time ever
I have had these boots for 3 days now and the second day they where broken in. For boots of this size they are incredibly comfortable.I really like the look and feel of these boots and the size is true. The only con I could think of would be that on wet surface you lose grip. I do not know if this has to do with them being new.The boots were delivered within the time frame that had been given. So overall I have to say it's a 5 star and well worth the money

a couple of times a month and the soles already need replacing which for the price is pretty poor performance
Lovely boots however I don't wear then very often i.e. a couple of times a month and the soles already need replacing which for the price is pretty poor performance, though getting that done isn't difficult, if I'd been wearing these constantly I'd have thought the sole would have last a month or two tops before need to be re-soled. Otherwise they are comfortable reasonalbey well made and fit well.

Comfortable, good design, metal hooks top of the boot ? Well overpriced
Comfort, well overpriced, will only use for weekends with jeans as I don’t think the soles will last.

My son loves these boots!
These boots smell good (like leather), are durable, and comfortable. They are nice looking and have a great style to them. My son wears these everyday and tells me he looks forward to putting them on in the mornings.

Botas padrisimas

Awesome boots
Second pair of these Timberland boots i've owned in about 20 years, well made leather boots, great for general to light hiking, fit even better when they are good and broke in and molded to your foot.

Great Looking Comfortable Boot
This is a great looking boot that's perfect for casual wear. The leather is of great quality and appears to be full grain. The leather is dyed but has no top coating and will show marks if scuffed. These, however, are easily removed with a little mink oil or other leather conditioner. I don't mean this as a criticism, as I prefer this type of leather and I included the information to help others avoid panicking if they purchase this boot and it arrived looking a bit scuffed up. Recommended!!!!
