This decimated a mature tree of heaven. Did the hack and squirt method. In a week the leaves turned a bit, another week more wilted, and weeks 3 and 4 it was all browned up. Also works brilliantly on some yard weeds. I wasnt paying attention to its impact on everything... I was just using it to kill clover and it was like an instant death within a day.

Update 11/29/23: It has been almost 4 months and now fall has completely set in here in the Midwest. As you can see from the last photo uploaded today, if you compare my neighbor’s lawn on top to my lawn on the bottom, the Bermuda Grass no longer exists in my lawn. Since Bermuda Grass is a warm season grass, it dries out and turns yellow, as evident in my neighbor’s lawn in the top section of the photo. My lawn used to have the same patch of yellow Bermuda in the fall, but not anymore! You can see the distinct dividing line where I treated my lawn and it now looks great. I’m almost wanting to ask my neighbors if they will allow me to treat their section of lawn in the spring, as to prevent it from creeping back into my lawn next year. I’d pay for the product and apply it at no cost to them :-). If you’re dealing with Bermuda Grass or invasive ivy, you should give this stuff a try. I’m extremely satisfied! Update 09/09/23: It has been 3 weeks and 2 applications of this product (1.5 oz. In 2 gallons of water per treatment applied from a 2-gallon sprayer). The Creeping Carlie/Ground Ivy has been completely eradicated. The Bermuda Grass has completely turned yellow and is just about dead. The rest of the lawn has not been harmed and is looking great! I think I’m going to hold off on additional treatments for the time being since fall is about a month away and Bermuda goes dormant early since it is a hot weather grass. My plan is to aerate the lawn in the spring and put down some fresh grass seed. I will then continue treating the area where the Bermuda grass had infested itself on a monthly basis. I am extremely happy with the results! I’ve added 6 updated photos with the progress. Original Post 08/28/23: I have been struggling with invasive Bermuda Grass and Creeping Charlie for several years. It’s progressively gotten worse and it was time to do something about it. I’ve had this Hi-Yield product saved in my shopping list for 2 years and finally decided to buy it and give it a try. My understanding from researching is that you never really kill off Bermuda Grass once it has established, but you can suppress it. I also learned that that August/September in the Midwest region is the best time to apply it since it is a perennial warm season grass. It starts going dormant and turns yellow in the fall. The instructions for mixing were very hard to follow as the product is geared toward farmers and large fields. I ended buying a 2-gallon sprayer at the local home improvement store and mixed 3/4 ounces per gallon of water (1.5 oz mixed with 2 gallons of water). I didn’t want to take a chance and use more because I didn’t want to risk burning my lawn. My intention is to continue doing weekly applications through September. As you can hopefully see from my included review photos, (this being one week after application), the Bermuda Grass and Creeping Charlie is starting to turn yellow and slowly dying. I’m hoping that with the continued weekly treatments I can suppress it enough to where I will only need monthly treatments next spring. Time will tell, but so far, I’m impressed. Plus, it doesn’t appear to be harming the rest of my lawn.

I’m in Zone 9 and currently converting my lawn to Kentucky Tall Fescue. If you’ve ever battled Bermuda grass at any point in your life, then you know this stops being lawn care and starts feeling like World War III. I tried fighting it manually for months. I naively pulled runners by hand like thinking I was smarter and more fiscally responsible than the folks on YouTube who'd already fought this battle in the past. However, as I quickly found out, every time I'd make progress, Bermuda would launch fresh offensives days later. My spirit was defeated; hope faded. The seed stalks were the worst part. I’d be cutting my grass and spot them standing tall like enemy radio towers, I'd angrily pull them by hand and toss them in the trash, being careful not to let any seeds fall off into the lawn. Then I'd come back the next day to find the devastating sight new stalks standing tall and emptied out with seeds already deployed into the dirt hidden by the lawn's canopy. I was broken. Every time I thought I’d gained territory, Bermuda counterattacked overnight. I considered buying Pylex, but spending nearly $300 for 4oz felt like something I'd be embarrassed to tell my friends and neighbors over dinner. "They think it's just grass. They don't understand what I'm going through!" I would tell myself, trying to justify the purchase. "If they were in my shoes they'd do the same thing!" I almost pulled the trigger but then I found Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester. I read the description closely, "kills Bermuda grass and targets broad leaf weeds," I murmured skeptically. I ordered it, deployed it, and unbelievably it worked; an absolute game changer. Finding this product felt like seeing Allied reinforcements storm the beaches on D-Day right as my lawn defenses were collapsing under a full Bermuda invasion. Or like hearing an A-10 Warthog screaming overhead just as I was about to get completely overrun by enemy forces. I could have fallen to my knees and shed tears when I saw the Bermuda dying. Don't judge me. If you're reading this, you UNDERSTAND. For the first time, it felt like I was actually winning the war instead of barely surviving it. This product finally gave me control over aggressive Bermuda grass. Instead of endlessly bouncing back, the Bermuda died off. The added bonus is that it also targets a lot of broadleaf weeds, which makes this product almost perfect for my situation. Good luck out there soldiers and God speed. A few tips from my experience: • USE A SURFACTANT. It makes a major difference. • A hose-end sprayer works great for larger applications. The natural swaying motion while spraying helps keep the solution mixed because it can separate over time. • A pump sprayer also works well for targeted applications. • I now apply it roughly every 3 months as part of my lawn control routine with consistently excellent results. Very happy camper here. If you’re fighting Bermuda during a cool-season lawn transition, this product deserves serious consideration.

If you're trying to kill creeping Charlie with this, be prepared to wait. As others have stated, the mixing instructions on the label are useless. So...I Googled it for recommendations and found many people who said 3/4 ounce per gallon of water. I tried this and saw absolutely no results after a full week. I applied a second treatment (same ratio) and waited another week and there was still no sign of distress to the creeping Charlie. I went back to Google to search for more advice in terms of a mix ratio for this stuff and found a few folks who recommended 2 oz. per gallon. I tried that and within a few days, the grass started to turn brown but the creeping Charlie still looked green and thriving. Last week I looked again and the grass is completely dead and the creeping Charlie is finally looking like it has met its match. So...if you want to kill grass rather quickly, this stuff will do it. If you want to get rid of ground ivy...be prepared to wait several weeks. Hopefully, all the dead grass will come back in the spring...without the creeping Charlie.

It works! U can pay same amount of other weed chems. This is a concintrate last 10 applications or more for the same price. $34 for concentrate 24 to 30 for premix. 3rd year using. I will continue using. Yard looks great. Nuts edge down, clover and creeping charlie. Worth buying a sprayer.

i used this for ailanthus or tree of heaven. it works! but you gotta do the research. you gotta kill em during specific times of the year. basically, if you chop down ailanthus or try to kill without chems, they use some sort of defense mechanism where they shoot sprouts more agressively if you dont kill the right way. i neglected a couple plants and they grew into trees, then i chopped them down without researching. this time i used the spray on plants growing on green grass. now grass is dead. i should've applied with a brush. anyway i mixed this, i forget the percentages, but its mixed with diesel gas. applied late in the season (sept-nov)CHECK THAT.
