How do you put it together there is no derections?

One of this piece's manufacturers is a company called Winsome Wood. If they don't have their own website, they're sold by both Wayfair and Walmart. Go to their websites & you might be able to download the instructions right off one of those sites. Alternatively, you can go to or call a local Walmart and see if they can get it for you or send it via email. They may even have one right there. It's worth a phone call.

What is the weight capacity of each shelf?

Sorry I don't remember, due to buying it over a year ago. But at that time it stated that info down after the description where the information is. But we bought it to store jars and canned food in our small kitchen.

Does it have any chemical odor?

No, our cabinet did not have any odor that I smelled. And with having asthma, I notice smells before everyone else in our house. We are using it in our small kitchen in our trailer for canned goods and jars.
