Great Cookbook
I love this cookbook! It has so many nutritional soups. It was perfect for getting me through a cold winter. I'll continue to use it for the rest of the year just because the recipes are that good.

Lots of Yummy Looking and Sounding Soup Recipes
I adore soups. I always have, and for 10 years, I was lucky enough to live in a place where I could have soup all year long as it never got terribly hot in the summer. So I am apt to pick up soup cookbooks that I see. The concept of having the focus be on healing soups intrigued me. You can put so many wonderful ingredients, herbs, and spices into soups that make them more healthy, taking advantage of the ingredients' natural properties. This book has some amazing soups in it, some classics as well as some more unusual ones. As a vegetarian, I appreciate how many plant-based dishes this cookbook has, even some vegan ones. And the ones that I saw certainly gave me hints on how to veganize some of my own soup recipes. For the meat-eaters, there are plenty of soups as well. Except for the initial section—with a variety of traditional soups from egg drop soup to minestrone—all the other ones are grouped according to their main ingredients.I liked, too, that each recipe had a nice headnote as well as a variety of hints and tips at the end. I love cookbooks that explain the recipe, important terms, or give directions like how to make a soup freezable, for example. I’m a person who loves to read cookbooks like a novel, and this cookbook is eminently readable. And despite the title of the book suggesting that this is about healing soups, I didn't really see much emphasis on this throughout the book or the recipes. Here or there, they would mention the healthy properties of some ingredients. Other than that, there really wasn't much about health, at least to my mind. But the recipes look and sound amazing, and the next time cold season rolls around, I will definitely be taking many of these for a spin. If you're into soups like I am, you may very well enjoy this book, too.

OOOH MY YUMMMM!!!!
While it's so easy these days to find recipes online, I still like a good 'ol fashioned cookbook to scan through. I wanted recipes for hearty soups that I could quickly heat and eat for lunch when I'm short on time and this book does NOT disappoint!I like to food prep on Sundays and decided on the White Bean and Rosemary soup and the Shrimp Gumbo. Usually we find ourselves tweaking seasonings in recipes, but the recipes here are really spot on! The soup was amazing! I would advise not removing the rosemary 'leaves' from the stem. This way you can adjust the flavor by removing them if the soup begins to get too perfumey. We froze one container and kept another for lunches. As for the Gumbo, I found frozen Kale right next to the frozen Okra! #winning! Anything to make cooking easier! I also added two beef andouille sausages which added a nice smokey flavor and bulked it up. For those like myself, who like to keep simple carbs to a minimum, this delicious Gumbo is equally as tasty on cauliflower rice as it is Jasmine rice 😉.Today I'm making the Stracciatella Chicken Soup. Can't wait! Would have made it yesterday but chicken didn't thaw in time! Grrrr.....All in all, I found that the recipes were easy to follow and the prep was a breeze. I love slicing, dicing, chopping, etc. A couple helpful tips, for those who cry like babies when slicing onions, keep a pair of goggles in the kitchen because a lot of these recipes call for them and you don't want to cry through it all! Also, when possible, buy your veggies frozen. Not only will it save you on prep time, but if you can't get to making your soup right away, your veggies won't go bad in the fridge! *Be sure to defrost them before adding so you can remove the water content.Buon Appetito!

Quick . . . what's for dinner!
I love this soup cookbook. Yes there are a lot of soup cookbooks but, for me, most are time consuming or too many ingredients. Most of the recipes here will take under one hour and are healthy recipes with common ingredients!

Great variety!
My husband loves soups so this is perfect. GREAT variety of recipes. Uses lots of different spices and fresh ingredients but also some canned (canned diced tomatoes for example). Some are simpler than others but that’s ok, I get to choose new and fun ones.I’ve made 4 different ones so far and they all turned out great .

A bit of decadent health
It's easy to forget that these soups are healthy for you - I live alone and make a big pot of soup weekly to see me through the week. The two I've made so far - spicy coconut-pumpkin and golden vegetable, along with a salad and crusty roll - have been so tasty that they have been dinner almost every night of the week. Perfect for a lazy cook like me who still wants to stay healthy.

I'm excited
Fantastic recipes, lots of them old classics as well. I suspect that majority of the recipes is for making on the hob. But just need to tweak it and it can be made in a soup machine, or a pressure cooker so. I look forward to putting these recipes to use, and enjoying them, their easy to follow has great tips if your on a gluten free diet and what to do, this recipe book is well thought out. Great recipes I love them.
