Hey there, totally real person here. I bought five of the 50 ft strands for outdoor use on some window boxes and a wreath. The timer function sold me as I had no interest in going out in the cold at night to turn them all off. When I opened these I was immediately skeptical because there is nothing on the box or instructions or the lights themselves that mentions a timer, and the on/off switch looked the same as other battery operated lights I have. I put them up anyway, turned them on at 5pm, hoped for the best, but seriously didn’t expect them to turn off 6 hours later at 11pm. Well, much to my surprise, they shut off at 11. I was stunned. Then I decided the true test was to see if they really came back on at 5pm the next day, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but they totally did. I’m buying two more strings to fill in some gaps in my old artificial tree that has some lights that have gone out. Also, they’re bright and look every bit as good as plug in lights. The “timer” isn’t fancy—you can’t pick and choose times, just turn them on, they’ll turn off 6 hours later, then come on again 18 hours later.

These are the "BEST" battery lights on the market!! This is my 8th set of lights and batteries are the way to go rather than plug-ins and extension cords. The multiple settings are so nice!! Great Product!! I will need to order more!!!

The media could not be loaded.  These are great. They are nice and bright and shut off automatically after being on for 6 hours then they turn back on by themselves. Effortless and so far work very well. Very happy with these. 8 settings to choose from, my video shows steady on as well as flashing

Normally a review is either positive or negative but this one doesn't really fit. Lights per the answers shown are not timers. So when our lights went off figured the 1 star reviews saying lights quit very quickly were right and we would return them. However the next day lights went on at 5 pm and again went off at 11. Lights continue to go on and off without a "timer" and are very bright and well worth the money. If you buy them hope you get a set that goes on and off.

We have a house that doesn't have many options to put a Christmas tree without moving the furniture. Because of these lights, I was able to put the tree where I wanted to without moving anything or finding an extension cord. They take 3 AA batteries and have several options of light types. You can have the lights flicker or slowly change into a different color, or just have them on standing still. I think there are couple more options, but I didn't try them all out because I like mine just to stay still because all that flickering makes me have motion sickness.

In addition to our larger tree, I have a couple of smaller trees, both of which needed lights, so I ordered two sets of two strings.Pros:1. I like the fact that these include yellow lights, which so few manufacturers include any more.2. You can set these on one function only, or let them cycle through all functions.3. These are on a timer, which works great.4. Because they're battery-operated, I'm not dependent on keeping the trees near an outlet.I really can't think of any negatives, because they have everything I want in Christmas lights. Therefore, I highly recommend them.

These Christmas lights get good ratings and there are good reasons for that! Nice bright indoor/outdoor lights that comes with a good quality battery box that is sealed for use outdoors, the battery box has a control button to set a variety of blinking functions for the lights. They have an integrated timer that will shut the lights off in approx 6 hours and turns them back on the next evening. The only negative is that these light sets do not come with a hand held remote control that some other brands include.

I was apprehensive about these lights. Mostly about the timer function and inclement weather, but I needed small portable light sets for this year's Christmas decor, so I took the chance.I'm so glad that I did. These lights deliver exactly what they promise. They are bright, weather resistant, and the timer function works. As other reviewers state, the timer is not fancy. You simply turn them on when you want them on, they will stay on for six hours and then they go off. The next day they will turn themselves on again...like clockwork. They have endured heavy wind, cold temperatures (30s at the lowest) and a lot of rain. I can't speak for snow, however. Don't get much of that where I live.You also can't beat the deal of two sets for $20. That's $10 a set. A cheap set of incandescents will at least cost you $8.00 and you have to plug in. For $2 more, you don't have that hassle. Batteries seem to hold up well. I've had to change them out on a few decorations, but not all. I highly recommend!!!
