Large Hanging Bird Feeder 2022 Gift Edition with Unique Removable Bird Feeder Tray, Beautiful Packaging

This is literally what I’ve been looking for. First, it is EXTREMELY easy to take off the metal hook to empty and clean. The plastic container is thick and there is a slit where you lift the container and slide past the hanging metal hook. There are small drain holes at the bottom so that if it rains it doesn’t collect water. The thick plastic container is large enough to fit a good amount of seeds. I was worried it would swing a lot when the birds would land on it but it somehow has a pretty good center of gravity and does not swing at all. I placed it next to my woodpecker seed cake so the birds could find it a little easier. The hooks are also interchangeable. You can have the circle ⭕️ hook or you can have to actual open hook; you just have to screw parts on and off to switch it but it’s easy. I also find that I can probably put a second one underneath it and hook it onto the bottom hook to add more room for birds. Whoever designed this is a genius. I don’t like traditional bird feeders because only one or two birds can get to it. This will easily fit a lot more. Potentially, the clean up may be a tad slightly more laborious but it’s not that big of a deal. It’s worth it knowing more birds can access the tray. Overall I am very happy with this. There is no incentive for me to write this review. I felt the need to because it was just so extremely functional and practical.

Very sturdy, looks easy to clean, can use two different type of seed. I haven't had a chance to actually put it out for the birds but I know it will be a complete success

This bird feeder has such a smart design. Super easy to clean - just slide the tray off the hanger, clean, and slide back on. The hanger is durable and strong. There's two ends - a hook and a circle - and these can be switched around. I put the circle on the top to loop over the shepherd's hook. The hook end is below the feeder and heavy enough to provide some stability to the feeder. I think it would also work to suspend a second feeder below, if there was room.We had a couple really windy days and even though there isn't much protection for the feeder right now it wasn't affected by the wind at all. It fits snug on the pole and didn't swing or tip. Very well balanced.The holes in the bottom are very small, and depending on the amount of seed in the feeder they aren't as good for drainage as a mesh bottom would be. They are small enough to prevent nyjer seed from falling through. Since I aim to feed finches, and primarily use nyjer seed, that part works great.It took the birds less time to find this new feeder than I expected. It's sort of exposed right now since the shrubs and trees around it haven't filled in with leaves yet, I figured let it be there for a couple weeks and/or after the leaves fill in and see what the birds think. However they've taken to the feeder pretty quick. It was interesting after a couple days to see some birds circling around and checking it out.When it's sunny out, depending on the angle of the sun, it will "glint" and reflect sunlight to create sort of a flash of light, so a shadier spot is probably preferred as that flash of light might scare some birds away? I'll keep assessing and update this review if needed.Very good feeder - even with the small drainage holes. Definitely recommend!

There is nothing not to like with this feeder. I am always on the look-out for easy-to-clean feeders & this is at the top of the list. I ordered two of them & within minutes, the birds were at them. The weather baffle shown is one that I used with my old feeder. I used to dread when it was time to clean the feeders but no more! This one will be a snap to clean, and the birds love it, too. I have just ordered two more so I can swap them out for cleaning.

Hang this under the awning close to window so the cat can enjoy the birds. Peanuts on one side and seed on the other side. Would happily buy another one of these great feeders. Easy to clean. Easy to bring inside at night to avoid the raccoons. Sturdy enough for raccoons who like to sit in the feeder.

I bought this because I really liked the ease of removing the tray for refills and because it can hold 2 kinds of seed at once. This is easily the most popular feeder in my yard. Unfortunately after only a week the feeder unscrewed itself and went crashing to the ground. The feeder naturally twists around as the birds come and go, and there is no nut or anything to help prevent the iron rod from coming unscrewed from the hook. This is a design flaw that could be easily fixed for pennies on the dollar.Update, after falling several times I gave up on using this feeder. I won't hang it anymore so this is basically useless now.

I have 7 birdfeeders that I refill daily, and most are flat feeders made of wood with a screen bottom. I often had to replace them because they warped or came apart. I decided to try this one for a change. Am glad I did! It is sturdy and so easy to remove the feeder part for refilling. I can remove and replace it with one hand (which makes it easier when I am holding several cups full of seed). The birds accepted it after only a day or two. I use black oil sunflower seed and can easily see from my kitchen window if it needs refilling since it is clear plastic. This is a substantial feeder, not flimsy, and I am very happy with this purchase. (Held up well in our recent ice storm too!)
