Absolutely love this desk!
I have been wanting to upgrade my desk for the last couple years and have had my eye on this one for a while. Finally, it went on sale and I pounced on it. I was wary of the time it would take to put together as several reviews mentioned it took several hours to put together. Luckily, my husband used to assemble furniture back when he worked at a department store so he was up for the challenge.First thing we did was take everything out of the boxes and line them up against the walls with the numbered stickers showing. Instead of going in the order of the directions, my husband started assembling all of the drawers first. Once all of the drawers were complete with all of those small pieces, we seemed to fly through the rest as it was all of the larger pieces remaining. My husband primarily did the assembling and I handed him the pieces that he needed when he needed them. I think in total it took three hours to put it together.I absolutely love the look of this desk and all of the drawers and storage space. Even my husband commented on how nice it looked once we had it in place and what good quality it is. I actually decided that I did not want the connecting piece that would truly make it an L-shaped desk. We set up the two desk pieces perpendicular to each other in the corner of my home office and I put a lamp in the corner between them. I may want to add that connecting piece later, but we realized it would be tricky to attach and move and I like the look just fine without it.I am so glad that I purchased this desk after eyeing it for so long. It is a beautiful addition to my office and I have loved organizing all of the drawers and different spaces it has to offer.

Great Desk. Very Happy!
Just received my new desk yesterday and then today (came in 2 boxes and delivered at different time. Why. Not sure but it is what it is. I started about 2pm EST today and finished it completely around 630pm EST, with the help from my husband. (Yes....a few hours to put this together so be prepared. You will DEFINATELY want to have an impact drill to screw the screws into the wood. You will thank me later...trust me. It makes it ALOT easier and faster. The instructions are OK but definately could be better. Pictures Only and No Details on what to do next step by step. Once you get the hang of how to put it together, the pictures are easier to figure out. The parts arent labeled in the package, but are shown in the instructions.Overall, I am VERY HAPPY WITH IT. We just redid our basement and it matches perfectly. Good size - Interchangable (left or right). Seems sturdy. No complaints!*one thing to note....do NOT open the boxes in your house. I read another post about that, and the review was 100% correct. Inside the box, everything comes wrapped with the white styrofoam things which cling to everything. Open outside or in a garage, wipe down pieces and take inside.*

GREAT little desk for the price!
This is a small desk, but that is WHY we got it. We have a small corner available and wanted to get the maximum usefulness for the smallest space -- and this desk does just that! There is ample space to store essential supplies within reach and sufficient surface area to work on.It assembled just as it should have when following the instructions - which as someone stated previously, were pictures and not words. The instructions are downloadable from the manufacturer's website, and honestly, with a tiny bit of guidance, but 8-year-old daughter was able to put one of the drawers together before going to bed the night I was assembling it. I can understand if the number stickers were missing or removed from each piece where it would get VERY difficult to assemble, so make sure you take care to not knock those off when unpacking all the pieces. (There are over 40 different numbered pieces, and multiples of some of those, so about 60 pieces all together?)It can be assembled in a left or a right corner - or even as 2 separate pieces. The backs of each piece are "finished" so they can face the wall or out into the room. (The panel that fits behind the drawers in the hutch is only finished on one side, so make sure the finished side faces OUT to the back if you plan to use the hutch in that way.)Everything feels sturdy now that it is assembled and it was easy enough for me to do by myself. The hardest part was getting the right angle on the screwdriver to put the corner piece in that attaches the desk and the hutch. That felt awkward, but was easier once I got a ratchet screwdriver. The cam locks were also a little awkward to tighten, as there was very little clearance even for my small hands. I should have used a ratchet screwdriver on those, too, but didn't think of that until the end. Thankfully, the width of the drawers was just right to allow the screwdriver to fit right in there to tighten the cam locks. If some of the drawers were any narrower, a screwdriver would not have gone in straight. It looked like a tight fit, but I had to say to myself, "They thought of EVERYTHING!" as the screwdriver just fit into place to do the job.One thing I wish they had done is put a small passage for the cords for the printer in the back panel of the hutch. They show a printer in there, but no wires. That is not possible with this desk. I will have to drill a hole myself. No big deal, but it will not be as neatly finished as if they had just done it from the start. Also, our printer JUST squeezes into that space! I don't know if there is a standard width on most printers or not, but I was thankful ours fit with maybe 2mm on each side of space. The covers for the assembly holes are just stickers and not solid plugs, so that could be better, too.The filing drawer accommodates large or small files, but it must be decided upon assembly. There are 2 steel rods that fit into pre-drilled holes in the drawer and I don't think it can be changed once the drawer is assembled. If it were as simple as disassembling the drawer to change it, that would be one thing, but there are wooden pegs that you glue into place that will not just disassemble if you change your mind. The drawers in the top of the hutch just slid in like little boxes while all the other drawers have metal glides. I can see how they could slip out if you opened them mindlessly. Even a little stopper at the top of the drawer would have been an improvement, but that is something that can easily be added "aftermarket."Finally, it didn't occur to me that the desk and the hutch were different depths until I was assembling it. That seemed odd, but inconsequential in the end.It would be GREAT if the corner piece was on a hinge to make the dead space under it accessible for some kind of storage - or just to access the plugs and all the cords I'm hiding back there right now. But, honestly, this is a GREAT little desk for the price!!!! I would definitely choose it again and/or recommend it to a friend.

Very happy with my purchase and customer service received.
I love my new desk. Originally, I had planned to put it in the corner of my office, but had a change of plans and instead I separated the two main pieces. The desktop portion is plenty sturdy on it’s own. The side with the drawers isn’t quite sturdy enough to stand on its own as it wanted to tip, but we anchored it to the wall and it’s good to go. I openly acknowledge that this was not the way the set was designed, however it worked best for us and I am grateful the product allowed me that flexibility.Upon arrival, two of the pieces of the set were broken. There was lots of styrofoam pieces so I assume it was handled too rough at one point. The box is 102 pounds for goodness sake. I contacted the seller, let them know what two pieces arrived broken, and they quickly sent out the two replacement pieces. I am so grateful for their quick customer service and resolution to the issue. I have also bought the matching filing cabinet to the desk set and love how they all look together.
