Can’t say enough good about this product or the company. Look up their website. Read the studies. Had a Fischer-Wallace unit and, while this IS a different setup and has DIRECT CURRENT and NO TIMER on the unit, it’s easy enough to set a timer. I feel the effect immediately. 20 min/day at 2mA for 2 weeks and it helps reset my symptoms to manageable and get me back on track. I still have not figured out the ideal maintenance for myself.Depression, anxiety, insomnia, hormonal issues, mood sensitivity… all of this and more has been helped by this therapy when concurrently used WITH targeted nutritional supplementation for mitochondrial dysfunction and adrenal fatigue, traditional therapy, and a clean diet.I GOT A UNIT for my parents and my 67 yr old dad says it feels like a weight has been lifted he never realized was even there.The unit itself runs off two 9 volt batteries, is easy to turn on, adjust, website has many montages so you know where to put the leads, on this unit IT MATTERS which side is which (red or black) when following the montage directions, just a heads up (and in comparison to the FW unit which has less impact for me on symptoms but was more portable and easier to use).I’m still looking for a carrying case, I know the company sells one but I believe I can find something locally for less.My dads unit quit working within a few weeks but the company sent him a replacement before he even returned his original unit. That speaks volume to customer service and their belief in their product.

Honestly, I would pay more for this product. This product actually works and its not placebo.That being said, on the Apex website they have different montages available for different brain functions. You simply mount the electrodes after applying saline to the sponges on specific parts of the brain (or arms) in order to improve cognitive function in that area.Did it provide permanent improvement? No, at least not for the focus montage, which is the montage I use every day to improve concentration at work and beyond.Did the depression montage work? Absolutely. If mounted properly, you would be in a state of bliss for several hours, but you would have to do this twice a day.The focus montage would only require one 30-minute session per day.The accelerated learning montage was weird because it felt like I was on adderall but I think the focus montage was a better fit for me and that's my go to montage on the daily.In terms of safety this product is absoultely safe. 4MA current is not enough to harm you in any way. You would need a 10MA current to convulse your brain and you are nowhere near that.That being said here are some of the symptoms upon using it:- Flashes in your eye. Totally normal.- Metallic taste in your mouth. Caused by electrical stimulation- Minor burns. Only happens upon repeated use.- Increased acne on affected area. Goes away after ceasing use.Overall, its totally safe and I've been doing this since April 2021.

After a only a week I noticed I started remembering things I wouldn't have before. But then it stopped working!!!! Upset, I called that night after hours and unexpectedly received a text back. Then the owner amazingly contacted me the very next morning. It was an easy fix--- I just needed to add some salt to my solution and the conductivity returned to normal. That was THE best customer service I've ever had. Thank you!

I just ordered a second unit for myself. The one I'm reviewing now I bought 1 month ago for a family member who's suffered from severe depression for over 15 years. I've witnessed significant progress in his attitude, the way we relate has improved dramatically, and no more angry unexpected outbursts. I'm extremely grateful to have learned about this product. It's definitely a lifesaver.

They might want to better illustrate the fact that there is a "metal insert" under the sponge of the electrode- there is a loop that the banana jack HAS to go into to get it to work optimally.Recommend an illustration about the electrodes to better show how the banana clip goes into the electrode properly.

This tDCS product works just as advertised. I was able to get started right away with the included instructions, and their website. Very happy to have dealt with them.
