Our daughter is an art history professor, and a huge world history buff. My husband found this for her, and we ordered it as a Christmas gift to display on her desk at the university. She LOVES it, along with everyone else who happens to go into her office. She said it's a HUGE hit. It's sturdy and pens and pencils fit in it just fine. I do recommend the heavier one to the cheaper and much lighter version. What a find!

This is the best gift for a history teacher with a sense of humor! I debated spending a few dollars less for the less heavy bust, but decided a bit more expensive but heavier is better. I'm glad I made that choice because it's good to have some weight when pulling pencils in and out of the bust. The only drawback is the size of the holes only fit #10 pencils or Bic stick pens or the like. However, I bought it for the humor more than for the purpose. A great addition to any desk!

I am impressed that it is as heavy as it is. I was worried it would be hollow and flimsy. It was packed very well. I am going to give it as a gift so I am not going to be able to do a review on how durable it is. However, it is very detailed and sturdy. I like it.

I'm more than happy with this purchase. It's nicely made and sturdy and looks good. I know what you're saying, the neon pencils were a nice touch too. I agree! I'm going to order a few of these as gifts as friends of mine, at least the more interesting friends of mine, have commented on how much they like this piece. Great, great buy. It came and was very sturdy and very heavy. Was a great gift and did exactly what it needed will definitely be a piece that holds up for a very long time period it is great quality no chipping or anything like that . Very happy with it.

The detail is super. My only complaint is that Caesar is looking down, so his face isn't fully visible. And his cheeks look too hollow, too sunken. But this bust may be patterned off of an actual, historical bust made by a contemporary artist. Even so, it's a great place to keep my pencils on my workbench.

It’s sturdy and well made, and has felt on the bottom so it won’t scratch any surfaces. It also hold pencils well, they don’t fall out or anything. It’s a cool little thing to have on your desk, and it’s a joke that I feel most people will understand, wether they are history buffs or not.
