Good value, easy to set up & works as it should when the engine is turned on.

I bought one of these in September 2023 to replace my 8 year old dash cam . I didn't have too much to spend and I don't need all the bells and whistles. Just something simple to use just like my old one. This fits the criteria. I watched setup instructions video and the whole setup and installation process was simple. I was impressed with the picture quality and wide angle. I like it so much I bought another one to replace the one in another car in our household. Fast forward to last week, I noticed one of the SD card was not working. I checked the other dash cam, sure enough, the SD card was not recording as well. I was not happy to say the least. I contacted seller, and Ying replied right away. She asked me to explain in detail what's going on. Problem was solved with a few messages. I am very pleased with the quick response from the seller. I hope this dash cam will last me a good few years.

This camera included everything you need, including the 32gb micro chip. It was easy to set up and the instructions were helpful, telling you what their recommended settings are so you at least have a place to start from it you don't understand what the setting is even for. The view is wide and covers far right and left of your windshield, and the day images are clear, but the night recordings are rather fuzzy - can't read even the largest interstate signs. Perhaps there's a setting I haven't investigated fully yet to clear those up. So don't misunderstand, I think this is a great camera for the money and I plan to get another couple of them for my other cars (this was for my husband's car).

I like the ease of setup and ability to put SD card in a USB provided device to plug into computer to download and view videos. Great Camera for the price. Hubby loves it! The suction cup also tightens down to the window which secures it tight.

Well, it worked good for a few days then the screen went black. I can hear the little jingle sound when it powers on but nothing on the screen. The booklet says 1 year warranty and contact them via the ssontong shop on Amazon. I finally figured out how to contact them. You have to click on “buy now” and the “ask a question” space is under that. I sent them my issue description. They replied fairly quickly and they are supposedly sending a replacement for free.

The dash camera arrived sealed tightly in it's packaging. The manual was only a page or two is tiny print that makes it hard to read. The instructions were barebones but overall it was rather easy to figure out. The window bracket is a simple suction cup based but it is interesting that it uses a dial style lock instead of a flip lever to secure the bracket to the windshield.Follow the few suggestions in the description for the best use unless you had a dashcam before and know your preferred settings. It has an extremely long power cord which should allow you to run the cord along the bottom of the dash and up around to where you have it placed.The camera comes with a 32GB card and it worked right out of the box.

NO WHERE DOES THIS WARN YOU that if your 12v cigarette outlet is a constant the Dashcam WILL NOT TURN ON/OFF when you start/stop your car,DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOUR 12v IS A CONSTANT POWER.I installed this with the supplier suction cup which seems nice, I tucked all the wire leading from the dashcam to the only 12v outlet I have which was pretty simple if you have a little bit of knowledge on the interior of cars.When I plugged it in and powered on the car, nothing happened, so I turned on the dashcam, followed the extremely useless instructions, formatted the card in the menu settings and then started to customize the settings, which by the way IS A HUGE PAIN, not user friendly at all.After all that I turned off the car, the dashcam stays on, the only way it will turn off on its own is if I have the “Auto-Off” setting turned on, increments of 1min, 2min, 3 min. So not a huge deal, I set the Auto-off to 1min and it shuts off, and when I get in I just have to turn it on, no biggie right? Right.But, I was super excited to use the “Parking Guard” and the “motion sensor” for when I wasn’t in the car, I recently got backed into and the person never left insurance info, no surprise there…but with the Parking Guard set, and tested, the Dashcam won’t turn off after a “collision” is detected, it just stays recording, I watched it for over 5 minutes just to make sure…I assume because the 12v power is a constant, it should turn off after 30 seconds after a collision and 10 seconds after motion is detected, so basically if I have the Parking guard turned on and the car gets bumped it will stay recording all night and not auto turn off.The Motion sensor setting won’t even turn on, I set it to “On” in the menu, turn it off and wave my hand in front of it and nothing happens, I go back in to check the setting and the Motion Sensor is off, no matter what I do it won’t stay on.You cannot use the motion sensor or parking guard while driving, you have to turn those on every time you park. So that’s dumb too.The night camera is 100% USELESS if you want plate information, and I’m sure it’s just as useless durning the day, I know it’s wide angle but there is NO WAY you’d ever make out a license plate number if you needed it.Do not buy into these positive reviews, this thing is junk! Quality is ok at best, customer service is terrible and the interface menu is ridiculously annoying to use,Keep looking and spend a little more money, this is 100% a you get what you pay for scenario.I read a lot of things on the internet that said you couldn’t use a USB to power this, but I also saw where you could, I ordered a Mini USB cable designed for Dashcam and such that will fit this Dashcam, I’ll update if it works.But don’t take my word for it, go ahead and buy it and then be like “darn, he was right”

I bought this dash cam in 2021 and it’s been a great and affordable option with great high quality video. After two years I did have an issue with the SIM card saying it was full even though it loops but the issue was easily resolved by swapping out the SIM card. The amazing customer service comes in when a few months ago (writing this April 2024) the setting button stopped working so I reached out to the seller and they immediately sent me a new one! They were very responsive and sent me a screenshot with confirmation of a new one shipped to me and I received it within two days. Just the customer service alone makes me recommend this dash cam to everyone I know.

The Ssontong company is that sells the dash cam is very helpful and concerned with good customer service. They answered a question I asked very promptly. The dash cam is working as advertised so far. I have not had the opportunity to try all the features but suspect they will be as they should be.

First run seems to work. Big display, easy setup. Came on and turned off as expected.Decent video quality, a bit low but it's ok for the price. Mic doesn't work very well, can't make out anything audio.Update stops recording after 3 seconds... will try different card then return if it continues.A new faster card (SanDisk max endurance) seems to work as expected. Seller offered a refund however which was generous.

User interface takes some time to get used to but works well. Picture color, clearness and detail is good (max. 1080p)
