It rocks.
I have an ESP LTD EC-1000 which I'd owned for several years now. It's a version that all the hardware is black, so finding this was great because there aren't any black B7's out there, and although some of those ornery B7-only guys didn't deter me from getting what is a great tremelo for my guitar.I looked at the Vibramate plates, but they don't have them in black, and I didn't like that they add a little more to the height of the installed unit. So I just marked and drilled the holes in my guitar, no problem! There are plenty of Youtube videos that show you how to do this. The holes for the stop piece are slightly visible if you are up very close and know what to look for. One of the advantages of a completely black guitar is that you really aren't going to see them unless you are inspecting it.I didn't change out the bridge, yet. At some point I will get a roller bridge, I haven't decided which yet, and I did have a slight sticking in the nut on the 3rd string which I corrected. It bends the notes well, it holds tune fairly well (although I do have Sperzel locking tuners) and it looks sharp. It's more subtle than the shiny Bigsby's but it looks like it belongs on the guitar. If you aren't good and confident with tools then I would take to a guitar repair shop that knows what they are doing. I wouldn't let them order it, just have them install it. I was originally considering doing this but after watching the videos on youtube of people installing into other guitars I decided to go ahead. I am pretty good with tools so it was a straightforward installation. However you should take your time, it took me just over an hour from pulling off the old strings and tail piece and getting the Bigsby installed and new strings put on.

Looks great, sounds great, plays great!
Been wanting to put a Bigsby on my guitar for a good while now, and I finally found a model to match the hardware I had on mine. The instructions for installation were very straightforward and easy to understand, and installation was quick and easy. Once restrung and tuned, this guitar sounded incredible and looked incredible as well. If you're looking for a vintage look on a guitar, but still want the whammy bar sound, this is definitely the way to go. You're buying a fantastic name, and a fantastic piece of hardware for your instrument.
