Kinda ok
The ignition module in these are complete crap, and the advance weights and springs are so far iff the scale, its crazy. The main parts seem good, gear is melonized and good. Just plan on changing the module and buy a proform advance kit.

Accel 59107C quality product but be aware of.......
I read several reviews saying the same, the distributor cap was broken when this item arrived. Just like others had said, box was in perfect condition but cap had a hole broken in the side. I had recently replaced the one on my old HEI so this was not a big issue for me but if you don't have a extra it will be, especially if your in a hurry to install. The instructions for adjusting the vacuum advance confused me so I tried to bottom it out in both directions to know what effect it had. DON'T DO THIS! With the advance turned all the way in clockwise it will take the least vacuum to operate. You can adjust counter clockwise up to 10 turns to increase vacuum required when connected to manifold vacuum as I am. If you go more than 10 turns the adjuster unscrews from the mechanism and it will not work. I got lucky and was able to get mine started again but you don't want this to happen. Mine works great now and hopefully will for a long time.

ACCEL fits this unit with the cheapest components available including the adjustable Vacuum Advance Canister which only affects the tip in vacuum and does not allow control over the amount of vacuum advance (you'll have to spring for their high performance version if this is important to you.

Arrived on time and is high quality.
This replacement distributor seems very high quality. I took it apart and it seems to made of very sturdy parts. I'm rebuilding my engine right now, so, I haven't actually used it but I doubt there will be any problems. Arrived on time. I was hoping that it would show up red in color and it did (not brown like the picture).

Serious problems
I have had serious problems with this distributor. I would recommend buying a rebuild factory one and skip this accel one. With in 2 months the car was running very bad, backfiring, no power. Took it apart and saw the ground strap under the coil was not making good contact, leaving burn marks on the strap. Its also damaged the ignition module from having no ground on the coil, so that was replaced too. Cleaned the connection and it worked for a while. I think the rubber washer under the coil is to thick, holding the coil off the grounding point, the original GM washer is thinner.A short time later the 3 connector plug started having the wires fall out of it, stranding the car on the side of the road until we found why it died. I replaced the harness with a replacement from a parts store, much better quality. Now a year later it runs so bad again its not drivable. Took it apart again and one of the wires had broke off from the pickup, under the rotor. Replaced it with a parts store part and it runs again.I basically paid 130$ for a shell since I have replaced all the internal parts.

Inexpensive distributor
I did not buy my 59107 from amazon but their pricing is good. Recently there have been some tech forums stating that this unit is made in china. I have had my 59107 for almost 3 years with no problems and the sticker on my box said made in the USA so am not sure. I try to buy American made parts where possible and I recently bought a used Delco remy hei to replace the accel. Some of the msd street fire distributors are made in China too so please check before buying.
