No, it is not lacquered nor varnished. Lacquer and varnish are things you definitely don't want to be around your bartending utensils (or around any kitchenware). Unlike other wooden stands (including many other bamboo stands), our Bamboo stand gains its attractive appearance by oil finishing which is 100% natural :)
