Single best improvement for a Ruger LCP
Tried others, didn't like - However, this one fits well and was easy to install and ended up looking very "finished" not like an add-on. You will need a little punch to remove (punch or push out) the existing plastic pin. They may even supply a little plastic punch now with the grip - check. You can also use a wooden skewer used for making shish-kabob on the grill. You just need something to start the "push" and then pull it the rest of the way out. Comes with easy to follow instructions that let you know which side to "punch" out from. And remember the side so you can put the supplied longer pin that comes with the grip back in the same side that you removed the existing one from. One end of the pin is a little bit larger so that it will snug up when you are pushing it back in. The pin helps to hold the rubber grip in place at the top. This was the first one I tried and I had no problem. The photo below shows the Hogue grip installed on a Ruger LCP. The pin that I'm talking about is at the top-right of the Hogue rubber grip in the pic. I also added a magazine extension for even more help with the grip. The front end of this LCP in the pic also has a Veridian tactical light purchased from Amazon (not a laser, but a white tactical light) that comes on when the handgun is removed from the Verdian supplied holster - perfect bedside or nightstand setup. I had tried previous Ruger standard grips and just didn't like them. I really like this now and can get a good solid grip on the little 380. Note: the sliver medallion on the side of the grip doesn't come with the grip from Hogue, I added it later. Adding the Hogue grip and the mag extension is the first improvement I would make, since a little 380 can really test your grip at times. The second improvement I liked was the Veridian light because it comes on automatically when you pull the HG out of the holster (that comes with the tactical light). Veridain also has red laser lights if that's your thing. Sorry that I didn't have a pic of just the Hogue grip alone. But if you can enlarge the supplied pic, you can easily see the Hogue grip and the pin at the top-right. And don't be intimidated by the need to remove the pin, you could probably even use a pencil to start the removal process and then just grab it and pull it out. I think the little pin is plastic so nothing heavy handed required to remove - just remember the side you removed from when installing the supplied Hogue pin that's a just a tad longer to compensate of the additional width of the rubber grip on the handle. And no cutting or trimming required, it fits around the mag release as it comes.

Installation is Non-trivial!
This grip adds much needed girth to the gun, which improves grip and confidence and reduces the bite of recoil. However, installation was a little more involved than I expected. If you don't already have them, you will need to obtain a set of drift punches from your local hardware store. Specifically, you will need a 5/32 inch drift punch in order to remove the dowel pin at the rear of the frame. A piece of scrap 1x4 or 2x4 will come in handy for this step. Lay the LCP on its side in the board and allow the end of the frame to extend off of the edge of the board. This will provide the necessary clearance to allow the dowel pin to exit as you tap from above with the drift punch and hammer. You will also have to remove the plastic cap that covers the hammer spring. You will need to insert a 1/16 inch to 3/32 inch drift punch into the tiny hole in the backstrap and apply a fair amount of pressure while twisting a flat head screwdriver in the seam between the hammer spring cover and the base of the grip in order to remove the cover. Once the dowel pin and hammer spring cover have been removed, the grip slides on easily and the supplied (wider) dowel pin secures it in place.I am very pleased with the fit and finish of this grip. This is my wife's pistol and the improvement in grip and ergonomics has made it much easier for her to cycle the action.

Works with new LCP Custom - BEWARE THE HAMMER SPRING SEAT REMOVAL
The Handall is the single most necessary upgrade for any LCP. Fixes the awkward narrow molded grip and reduces recoil. With this, the LCP feels custom molded for my hand. I can comfortably fire 100 rounds without any hand/wrist fatigue that people complain of as being common with the LCP. Also, it will work with the new LCP Custom (which has high sights).Installation was....difficult and took 3 guys an hour. However, I think this was simply a function of my LCP. To install, you have to remove the Hammer Spring Seat (the little nub behind the magwell) by pressing in a little plastic notch with a punch or similar tool. My Hammer Spring Seat would not budge (all the YouTube videos show it popping right out after the little notch is depressed). After looking up a replacement and learning that it would cost $1.99 (worst case if I destroyed the original, which was looking increasingly likely), I was less concerned with destructive removal (and I was mad - I had already spent an hour trying to get it out). I then found a random comment in a forum where the the author described prying it off with a screwdriver. I did not want to risk damaging the polymer frame with a screwdriver when a replacement Hammer Spring Seat was only $2.What worked for me was to place a small screw driver against the lip of the Hammer Spring Seat on either the right or left side and gently tap the combined unit against the workbench to direct the force only against the Hammer Spring Seat. Switch sides between taps to work it out slowly. When I finally used this removal method, the Hammer Spring Seat popped right out.

Great grip.
This grip does exactly what it is intended to do. However, IF I had to be picky and obnoxious about it, I would say it makes the profile of the gun significantly wider. For those who dont mind a bit more girth to their grip, this is perfect for you. However... if you are like many people who purchase an LCP and carry it in your pocket... You may want to consider some sort of sand-paper style grip that will keep the gun slim as it is intended to be, while still allowing a fantastic purchase on the weapon. Overall, this product is great value. It is easy to instal. Good buy for the right use.
