I might suggest getting a set they sell of three or four different grades of abrasives. The finest grade is for an extremely polished surface, so if there is any surface scratches (even a polished surface is "scratched" compared to a one micron abrasive), it will polish over them but not take them down. A little goes a long way, though these tubes are small there is more there than it looks. It does not "wear out" as you use it like less hard abrasives.
